10. Summary of thesis results:
“Social capital” is a relatively new concept and there is not yet a high consensus on its content. However, for this reason, studying different perspectives on “Social capital” and related theories has contributed to providing a multi-dimensional perspective on domestic workers and their job search process. The results of the study show that “Social capital”, regardless of how it is defined, due to the characteristics of Vietnamese society, has a profound and comprehensive impact on the job search process of domestic workers, including: the ability to access information, the ability to seize opportunities, the ability to change jobs and many related aspects.
11. Practical application:
Based on the results obtained from the thesis, households, businesses and domestic workers themselves can refer to make the information connection process more convenient and effective. Social policy makers can refer to make corresponding adjustments.
12. Further research directions: The thesis can be developed in two directions. The first direction is to further exploit the theoretical aspect of the concept of "Social Capital"; the second direction is to expand the research object to businesses providing intermediary services for domestic helpers (mentioned in this thesis but not yet exploited in depth).
