10. Summary of thesis results: In summary, through this research..."Hanoi in the films "Summer Afternoon" and "Guava Season" from a cultural perspective."We have come to the following conclusions:
- Theoretically, cinema and culture are closely intertwined, with cinema being a constituent element of culture. Therefore, cinema cannot be outside the influence of culture. Culture acts as a regulator, adjusting each film to accurately reflect the cultural values of the region it is building. Conversely, cinema serves as a repository for traditional values. As a comprehensive art form, cinema not only preserves these values in image form but also in sound and language. Without being overly complex to transcend national borders, cinema acts as ambassadors for the culture of each nation. Therefore, there is a great need for film projects with a strong cultural imprint, not only to preserve but also to promote and spread these beautiful values.
- During the process of creating a film, directors are influenced by culture in the relationship between culture and cinema. However, this influence does not diminish the unique creativity of each artist. While reflecting the same subject matter and developing under the adjustment of culture, each film carries the distinct intellectual essence of its individual creator.
- Hanoi insideGuava seasonandVertical summer afternoonThese values, rooted in the past, are embodied in each character with a nostalgic air. Faced with the choice between traditional and modern, old and new values on the path of integration and development, the directors have clearly demonstrated an attitude of respect and appreciation for old values, tinged with wistful nostalgia.
- Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular are facing a new era: integration and development. Simultaneously with the encroachment of urban civilization into the village boundaries, strong waves of migration are occurring in some areas of the country, leading to the formation of new cities and urban centers. Hanoi's culture is formed through a sedimentary accumulation and refinement from generation to generation. People from all over flocked to Hanoi, bringing with them their local cultures and customs, combining and refining the most beautiful aspects, passing them down from generation to generation to create a unique culture. In essence, Hanoi's culture is inseparable from Vietnamese culture; it is not an isolated phenomenon, but rather a refinement of the common into the unique.
11. Practical applications: This suggests new themes for exploring culture in Vietnamese cinema. It also highlights the mission of preserving culture in cinematic works.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Generally, through the study of Hanoi in "The Vertical Ray of the Sun" and “The Season of Guavas" from a cultural perspective. We come to these following conclusions:
- Theoretically, Film and Culture are in a close relationship, in which film is a constituent element of culture. Therefore, cinema cannot stand outside the culture's dominant. Culture works as a tuner. It adjusts every footage to match the regional cultural value that it is building. In other hands, Film can be seen as a template that preserves traditional values. As a general art form, cinema not only stores it as images, but also sounds and languages. Besides, cinema is also the ambassador that can propagate any cultures. As a result, it is necessary to produce more film projects that have a high cultural mark, to not only preserve but also promote and spread beautiful values.
- Directors in the process of making cinematographic works are influenced by the culture that is in the relationship between culture and cinema. However, that domination does not seriously affect the individual creativity of the artists. Despite reflecting the same object and developing together under the adjustment of culture, each movie has its own intellectual character.
- Hanoi in "The Season of Guavas" and "The Vertical Ray of the Sun" show up with traditional values belonging to the past. Those values are entrusted to each character in a nostalgic way. Facing the choice between traditional and modern, old and new values on the path of integration and development, the directors nostalgically show an attitude of respect and appreciation of the old values.
- Vietnam in general and Hanoi, in particular, are facing a new era: integration and development. With the invasion of urban civilization after the village stronghold, in some areas of the country, the waves of migration took place, leading to the formation of new urban centers. Hanoi culture is formed in a form of sediment accumulated and distilled from generation to generation. People from all over flock to Hanoi, bringing their local culture and behaviors. Together, it refines the most beautiful and "genetically" things from one generation to the next and makes up its own culture. In essence, Hanoi culture is not separate from Vietnamese culture, it is not a particular phenomenon, but a distillation from the general to the feature.
12. Practical applicability, if any: Suggesting the subject of cultural exploitation for Vietnamese cinema and showing the mission of preserving the culture in cinematographic works.
