- The thesis statistically analyzed the number of abbreviated words, their frequency of use, and structural characteristics such as construction methods, structural types, and principles of abbreviation, based on a survey of seven political reports from the Chinese Communist Party Congresses, from the 12th to the 18th Congresses.
- This dissertation classifies and analyzes the semantic characteristics of abbreviated terms in the Political Reports of the Chinese Communist Party Congresses.
- The thesis identified several economic, social, political, and science and technology policies of China as reflected in the abbreviated terms in the Political Reports of the Chinese Communist Party Congresses.
12. Practical applications: (if any)
This dissertation makes significant scientific and practical contributions. The research findings can practically contribute to the study and teaching of the Chinese language and Chinese studies. The dissertation also contributes to the translation of socio-political terms between Chinese and Vietnamese, and the translation of political and social texts in general.
13. Future research directions: (if any)
The author will conduct research on the translation of abbreviated Chinese terms into Vietnamese, or study socio-political terms in political reports from the Chinese Communist Party Congresses.
