- The thesis has counted the number of shortened words, frequency of use, analyzed the structural characteristics such as construction method, structure type, and shortening principles based on the survey results of 7 political reports of the Communist Party of China Congress, from the 12th Congress to the 18th Congress.
- The thesis conducts semantic classification and analyzes semantic characteristics of abbreviated words in the Political Reports of the National Congresses of the Communist Party of China.
- The thesis has identified a number of economic, social, political, scientific and technological policies of China reflected through the abbreviated terms in the Political Reports of the National Congresses of the Communist Party of China.

The thesis has scientific and practical contributions. The research results of the thesis can make practical contributions to the research and teaching of Chinese and Sinology. The thesis also contributes to the work of translating Chinese-Vietnamese socio-political terms in particular and translating political and social documents in general.
