Thesis research on psychological support for a case of anxiety depression in young people.
The study found that cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness had a positive effect, helping to improve symptoms of anxiety and depression. After the intervention, the client had reduced symptoms of disturbances (improved sleep, reduced negative thoughts, increased positive activities, etc.). In addition, the client initially improved relationships with colleagues and students.
Cognition – emotion – behavior are three closely related factors, changing one factor will affect the others. Cognition – emotion – behavior has a direct impact on each individual’s life and the quality of social relationships. To improve the client’s problem, it is necessary to comprehensively affect all three factors.
Depression and anxiety often go together, with periods when anxiety symptoms are more prominent, and periods when depression symptoms are more prominent. Intervening with depressive symptoms can help improve anxiety symptoms, and vice versa.
11. Practical application
From the results obtained through the process of theoretical and practical research, the thesis has contributed to proving the effectiveness of psychological support methods in general and cognitive behavioral methods, mindfulness methods in particular, for individuals with depression and anxiety. Thereby, it is possible to apply psychological methods in the treatment process for people with psychological difficulties, helping them to relieve their emotions and solve the problems they are facing.
