Summary of the results of the thesis: The topic "ASEAN Higher Education Cooperation - The Case of AUN" consists of 03 chapters with main contents focusing on the domestic and international context of the history and situation of international cooperation in higher education in the Southeast Asian region, since the establishment of ASEAN until now. In Chapter 1, the author mentions the theoretical and practical basis for implementing and promoting international cooperation activities in higher education and evaluates the effectiveness of international cooperation activities in education in general and higher education in particular in the ASEAN region from 1956 to 1990. The author also mentions the role and significance of international cooperation in training and developing high-quality human resources in higher education. In Chapter 2, the author summarizes the strategy of higher education cooperation and the results of cooperation activities according to priority areas, interdisciplinary areas in and urgent in the ASEAN region. Finally, in Chapter 3, the author comments on the higher education cooperation strategies of countries in the Southeast Asian region, especially the more developed countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, etc. From there, the author makes some recommendations for international cooperation of Vietnamese higher education, specifically for Hanoi National University in the ASEAN region.

Practical applicability: The research on this topic contributes to providing documents on one of the important issues in Education and Training, especially university training in the ASEAN community in general and in Vietnam in particular, and at the same time contributes to serving research work to propose appropriate policies for university education in Vietnam in the context of increasingly deep international integration.
