Summary of the new results of the thesis: Firstly, this is the first work in our country to research the life, career and thoughts of Herbert Marcuse; to analyze, clarify and systematically present Herbert Marcuse's understanding and application of Marxist doctrine. Secondly, to analyze and evaluate the dialectics and historical materialist views of C. Marx that Herbert Marcuse understood and applied to criticize the dogmatization of Marxism, criticize the negative consequences of science, technology, contradictions and paradoxes, domination and degeneration in modern industrial society. Thirdly, to point out Herbert Marcuse's limitations in not overcoming the bourgeois intellectual stance, so he refused to understand the fundamental revolutionary and scientific principles of Marxism, so the criticism of modern capitalist society was not thorough, not its negation. Fourth, a truly objective and fair assessment of Herbert Marcuse and his understanding and application of Marxist theory in "One-Dimensional Man".

Thirdly, the limitation of Herbert Marcuse is pointed out that it did not overcome the bourgeois intellectual viewpoint, so it refused to comprehend the revolutionary and scientific fundamental principles of Marxism. Therefore, the criticism of modern capitalist society is not thorough, not its negation. Fourthly, an objective and fair assessment of Herbert Marcuse and the comprehension and application of Marxist theory in “One-Dimensional Man” is made.
