10. Summary of the thesis results:
Following the Party and State's policy on tourism promotion in the new context, information dissemination on SCTV12 channels has been effective, contributing to the overall success of bringing the image of Vietnamese tourism to friends around the world. Tourism information on SCTV12 has helped the public understand Vietnam better and more accurately, creating a positive impression on international friends. The image of a peaceful, stable, innovative, and dynamically developing Vietnam, a safe and reliable destination for investment and tourism, with its rich history and long-standing culture, has been made known to people around the world and the Vietnamese community abroad through tourism promotion programs broadcast on SCTV12 channels.
With the aim of conducting in-depth research on the general theory of organizing the production of tourism promotion programs on the SCT12 channel, in Chapter 1 of this thesis, the author has clarified concepts related to the topic such as concepts related to tourism, concepts related to television; cable television and its advantages in tourism promotion; the need for tourism promotion in Vietnam; content and form of tourism promotion information; and the organization of television program production.
Based on the theoretical issues that have been clarified, Chapter 2 of the thesis clarifies the current state of organizing the production of tourism promotion programs on SCTV12 channel through: introducing SCTV and SCTV12 channel; surveying the organization of tourism promotion program production on SCTV12 channel; tourism promotion programs on SCTV12 channel; and the impact of program production organization on program quality and production resources.
In Chapter 3 of this thesis, based on research into the practical requirements for the future of tourism in Vietnam, public demand for tourism, and the information needs and role of television in tourism development, the author boldly proposes several solutions to improve the quality of tourism promotion programs on SCTV12. To achieve the highest effectiveness, SCTV12 must improve the quality of its program production organization, including human resources, production equipment, and financial capacity.
11. Practical applications:
This thesis contributes to supplementing and systematizing the theory of television program production, especially tourism promotion programs on SCTV12 channel. This research is based on evidence, documents, and practical, scientific, and objective programs. Therefore, this thesis will provide a valuable theoretical basis for television stations nationwide to apply in program production, and will serve as a foundation for training in television journalism in journalism departments at several universities; it will also add theoretical and practical insights through specific tourism promotion programs that have been and are currently being broadcast.
This thesis systematizes fundamental theories of tourism, including Marxist-Leninist theory on goods and services, tourism in a market economy; the Party and State's views on tourism promotion and development programs; tourism theory encompassing tourism products, markets and classification criteria in the tourism market, the role of tourism in socio-economic development and international integration, the development of tourism in international integration, and a draft of world tourism development trends, to serve as a basis for planning domestic tourism development. A successful research project will contribute to accurately assessing the current state of tourism promotion, providing comprehensive information and guidance on necessary tourist destinations for the public, and meeting the information needs for tourism products. Based on that, several solutions and recommendations are proposed to improve the quality and effectiveness of tourism development communication, especially to raise awareness among local authorities and people in building a sustainable tourism environment.
12. Future research directions:
Although the research objective has been met, the thesis still has some limitations in providing solutions to improve the effectiveness of organizing the production of tourism promotion television programs on SCTV12 channel. Therefore, in the future, the author believes that to achieve better results, the research needs to combine multiple models and research methods to improve the effectiveness of organizing tourism promotion programs.
