The story of Quan Am Thi Kinh has a special place in the cultural history of the Vietnamese people. Since its inception, the work has been widely received in many forms. Researching the topic: From Verse Tale “Guanyin Sutra" to "The Tale of Quan Am Thi Kinh” by Thich Nhat Hanh- a Receptional Aesthetic Perspective, the writer wants to identify the historical, cultural and ideological values ​​that the two works bring.
The Nom poetry story Quan Am Thi Kinh was born in the context of the Nom poetry story that flourished in the 18th to 19th centuries. Through the Nom poetry story, we can see the influence of Buddhist thought on the Confucianism at that time, which is directly reflected in the work of Quan Am Thi Kinh and many other Nom poetry stories. This work also speaks of the aspiration to liberate individuals in the medieval period, condemning outdated customs and laws, fighting for personal freedom, and free love in feudalism.
