This study examines the artistic characteristics that shaped the films Gladiator and Hamlet. Both are historical epics. This study aims to identify the values ​​that contributed to the success of Gladiator and the failure of Hamlet. From this, it draws conclusions about the biggest differences filmmakers face during the adaptation process.
