- The purpose of the thesis: To systematically analyze and clarify the basic contents of JJRousseau's educational philosophy, evaluate the contributions and limitations, thereby pointing out suggestions for current Vietnamese education.
- Research object of the thesis: The thesis focuses on the basic contents of the educational philosophy of J.J. Rousseau.
- Research method of the thesis: The thesis uses dialectical materialist research methods in studying the history of ideas, including thoroughly applying the methods: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, comparison, generalization, historical-logical unification, textual method, etc.

+ Clarify the impact of economic, political, social, cultural and religious conditions as well as the influences of the educational views of Socrates, Plato, IA Comenxki and some French Enlightenment philosophers on the formation of J.J. Rousseau's educational philosophy.
