In her opening remarks, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong provided an overview of the training scale, areas of strength, and international cooperation activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Particularly, in the context of the University's recent celebration of its 80th anniversary as a Faculty of Literature and 30 years of development within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, this is considered a significant milestone, opening up new opportunities to further promote and expand international cooperation. The University aims to strengthen connections with reputable partners such as the Sayling Wen Foundation and the UAiTED Alliance, in order to improve the quality of training and integrate more deeply into the global academic environment. This is not only a concrete step in the internationalization strategy of education, but also an opportunity for lecturers and students to access advanced academic resources, expand research networks, and engage in multi-directional academic exchange. Through this, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities aims to affirm its position as one of the leading training institutions in the field of social sciences and humanities, proactively adapting to the current trend of educational globalization.

In his speech, Mr. Jeter Her, Representative of the Sayling Wen Foundation and the UAiTED Alliance, expressed his honor to visit and work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and highly appreciated the achievements and academic environment of the University. Furthermore, he stated that the Sayling Wen Foundation and the University have many things in common, especially a shared commitment to academia, humanistic values, and a spirit of striving for excellence. Based on this, he expressed his hope that in the future there will be more opportunities for connection, creating conditions for students from member universities of the Alliance to participate in study and exchange programs at the University.

Ms. Ruru Lu, Advisor to the UAiTED Alliance, presented the formation process, vision, mission, and key programs of the Foundation and the Alliance. Accordingly, the Sayling Wen Foundation focuses on human resource development through education, innovation, and social responsibility; in conjunction with the UAiTED Alliance – a collaborative network of universities and organizations in Asia – to promote talent development through academic, research, and business connections. The Alliance was established in 2019 and further strengthened through the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2024, with the participation of many prestigious universities in the region.

Through exchange and discussion, based on similarities in development orientation, both sides proposed several directions for future cooperation, such as: strengthening academic exchange, connecting with the network of UAiTED member universities, promoting training programs linked to practice and businesses, and exploring the possibility of joining the Alliance in the future.
