In addition to training and research partnerships with units within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Faculty of Anthropology and Religious Studies has established relationships with numerous training and research units and organizations both domestically and internationally. Notably, this includes the support and cooperation of the Ford Foundation and the Wenner-Gren Global Anthropology Foundation in developing and innovating training programs and enhancing the research and teaching capabilities of its faculty.
In addition to regular scientific activities, the Faculty organizes international scientific events, connecting and bringing together reputable experts from Vietnam and abroad to discuss many important issues of the industry, Vietnamese society, and countries in the region. Some notable forums include:
- 2015: In collaboration with the Institute of Culture and Society at the University of Western Sydney, Australia, organized the international conference "Cultural and Social Transformation in Urban Areas in the Process of Globalization and Modernization".
- 2015: In collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Ethnology and Anthropology, the Institute of Ethnology, and the Nguyen Van Huyen Museum, organized the international conference “Anthropology in Vietnam: History, Current Situation and Prospects,” sponsored by the Wenner-Gren Foundation.
- 2016: In collaboration with UNESCO Vietnam, organized the international workshop “Cultural Resources for Sustainable Development: Theory, Practice and Policy Solutions” sponsored by the Wenner-Gren Foundation.
- 2017: Organized an international scientific seminar titled "The Influences and Imprints of the Soviet Nation on Anthropology in Vietnam," sponsored by the Wenner-Gren Foundation.
- Continue to maintain, develop, and expand cooperative relationships in research, training, and policy consulting on religion and ethnicity with existing partners, while further expanding with regional and international partners.
Since its establishment, the Faculty has collaborated closely with state management agencies in the field of religion, research institutes, universities, and religious organizations to jointly conduct training and organize scientific research seminars. The Department has been and is currently carrying out the following typical collaborative projects:
- Completing a collaborative project with the Vietnam Buddhist Association and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, we organized a workshop titled "Promoting the Role of Buddhism in the Socialization of Charitable Social Work".
- Project completed: Organizing a scientific conference in collaboration with the Evangelical Church of Vietnam in Northern Vietnam to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam.
- Completed a collaborative project with the Committee for Catholic Solidarity and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to organize a scientific seminar: "Promoting the role of the Committee for Catholic Solidarity of Vietnam in the new situation".
- We have completed a collaborative project with the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Academy to organize a scientific conference titled "Training of Buddhist monks and human resources of the Khmer ethnic group in Southern Vietnam at the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Academy: Tasks and solutions".
- In collaboration with the Center for Women's Studies, the Vietnam Institute of Buddhist Studies organized a seminar entitled "The Engaged Spirit of Vietnamese Buddhist Women".
- In collaboration with institutions such as the Khmer Theravada Buddhist Academy and provincial Buddhist secondary schools, we organize training courses for Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Religious Studies.
