Joining the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Head of the Department of Anthropology and Religious Studies, and Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Head of the Training and Student Affairs Department. The two sides exchanged views on research and training-related issues, aiming towards signing a cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hue and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Welcoming the delegation from the University were Venerable Thich Hai An, Standing Member of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Director of the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hue; Venerable Thich Nguyen Thanh, PhD, Member of the Central Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Central Buddhist Education Department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Standing Vice Director and Head of the Training Department of the Academy; Venerable Thich Quang Tu, PhD, Vice Director and Head of the Information and Communication Department of the Academy; Venerable Thich Khong Nhien, PhD, Vice Director and Head of the Scientific Research Department of the Academy; Venerable Thich Chuc Tin, PhD, Vice Director and Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Academy; Venerable Thich Huong Yen, PhD, Vice Director and Head of the Organization and Administration Department of the Academy, along with other Venerable members of the Academy's Executive Council.

Rector Hoang Anh Tuan respectfully presented the book "Training in Social Sciences and Humanities with a Research Orientation - Tradition and Development" to Venerable Thich Hai An.

During the meeting, Venerable Abbot Thich Hai An extended a welcome and expressed his joy at receiving the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the members of the delegation.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, presented the discussion topics, focusing on future cooperation between the two institutions. Specifically, the two sides discussed coordinating training at the Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral levels, aiming to facilitate the pursuit of dual-degree programs for Buddhist monks and nuns. In addition, the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities proposed strengthening key scientific research and national and international publications related to Buddhism; and collaborating on research into the Vietnamese temple system, especially the ancestral temples and monastic orders nationwide.

Venerable Thich Nguyen Thanh presented the content of the Academy's training program, emphasizing the advantages and unique characteristics of the Academy, such as its specialized fields in Sino-Vietnamese studies and Buddhist-related disciplines.
Both sides also agreed on the principle of collecting and digitizing Sino-Vietnamese documents and Vietnamese cultural sources abroad, with the aim of organizing the storage, preservation, and promotion of the value of these documents, and moving towards building a digital humanities system of Buddhist documents to serve research and training.
Also as part of their working visit to Hue, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan and the school's delegation visited the Vietnam Buddhist Archives and Research Center in Hue, which houses many unique artifacts and documents on Vietnamese Buddhism, and discussed plans for future research cooperation.
