On December 17, a cultural and artistic festival, an opportunity for exchange, learning and connection between Vietnamese students and international students will be organized by the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Sparkling New Year.
Sparkling New Year means “Brilliant New Year” as a wish from the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language to all international students from countries around the world to have a really explosive new year. Wishing all students a warm and cozy Tet holiday, and a wonderful day experiencing the Vietnamese Tet cultural space at the Hanoi Humanities House. This is also an opportunity to introduce the cultural characteristics of Tet, promote and introduce the image of Vietnamese culture to international friends.
Within the framework of the event, there will be many exciting activities:
1. New Year greetings and learning about Vietnamese ethnic culture.
- Time: From 7:00 to 11:00 on December 17, 2022.
- Location: Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hoa Lac, Thach That, Hanoi.
- Content:
+ Happy New Year to the Board of Directors of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
+ Visit the headquarters of Hanoi National University at Hoa Lac campus.
+ Visit the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture.
2. Camping: "Spring of Connection - New Year of the Five Continents"
- Time: December 17, 2022
- Location: Headquarters of Faculty of VNH&TV, B7bis, 75 Tran Dai Nghia, Bach Khoa, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.
- Content:
+ For SVVN booths: At each booth, units will decorate and prepare food to promote Vietnamese culture.
+ For international student booths: At each booth, units will decorate and prepare cuisine according to the cultural characteristics of their country to promote the culture of the nation.
3. Activities to learn about Vietnamese traditional culture
- Time: From 11:00 to 16:00 on December 17, 2022.
- Location: Headquarters of Faculty of VNH&TV, B7bis, 75 Tran Dai Nghia, Bach Khoa, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.
- Content:
+ Calligraphy activities.
+ Fortune telling activities.
+ Bamboo dancing activity.
+ Game to learn about traditional Vietnamese culture.
4. Fashion show: “Fashion – Traditional Food”
- Time: From 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 17, 2022.
- Location: Headquarters of Faculty of VNH&TV, B7bis, 75 Tran Dai Nghia, Bach Khoa, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.
- Content: Design costumes to recreate traditional cuisine during Tet around the world using recycled materials.
5. Gala “SPARKLING NEW YEAR”
- Time: From 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on December 17, 2022.
- Location: Headquarters of Faculty of VNH&TV, B7bis, 75 Tran Dai Nghia, Bach Khoa, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.
