Speaking at the Ceremony, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated the achievements of the Department over the past 6 years. Although it is a young unit, only established in 2016, the Department of Religious Studies has affirmed itself as an indispensable component of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Despite many difficulties, the Department has so far stabilized its personnel, teaching staff, and good enrollment work. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated the Department's Board of Directors for being strengthened. With the efforts of teachers and students, the Department of Religious Studies will certainly develop strongly and achieve many successes in the coming time.

On this occasion, on behalf of the School's Board of Directors, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan congratulated and presented the Decision to appoint Head of Department to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh and Deputy Head of Department to Dr. Tran Bach Hieu.

As one of the people who have accompanied the Department since its inception, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc and Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu were moved to share the difficulties in the establishment and operation of the Department in the first years. But above all, the teachers have tried to persevere and make efforts: how to recruit students, open training programs, supplement the teaching staff,... Up to now, the Department has trained all 3 levels: bachelor, master and doctor; the teaching staff is qualified, enthusiastic and loves the job, the students are dynamic and confident. Furthermore, being part of the ecosystem of the School of Humanities, a leading institution in Social Sciences and Humanities, and having leading experts in interdisciplinary sciences: political science, history, cultural studies, etc., the Department of Religious Studies will certainly develop strongly, becoming a prestigious training institution in the country, smoothly combining theory and practice, integrating with the world, actively participating in policy consulting, and propagating the Party and State's policies on religion and belief.

On behalf of the teachers and students of the Department of Religious Studies, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh (Head of the Department) sent her deep gratitude to the Board of Directors of VNU, the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the veteran teachers who have supported, accompanied, attached themselves to, and created favorable conditions for the Department during its formation and development over the past 6 years. At the same time, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Department, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Oanh also expressed her determination to maintain solidarity and unity among the leadership team as well as staff and lecturers, to build the Department stronger in all aspects: training, scientific research, and community service.
