The final night was attended by representatives of the university's leadership, heads of faculties/institutes, functional departments, teachers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, representatives of the Blockchain Alliance of Universities in Vietnam, the University of Technology, VNU Hanoi, mentors from AIuni Academy, etc.
The "Language and AI" competition is a space connecting linguistic knowledge and AI technology, encouraging students to apply their specialized knowledge to create products with practical applications. From natural language processing and language education to the preservation and development of the Vietnamese language in the digital environment, the submitted ideas have shown that linguistics is not only an academic field of research but also has the potential to directly contribute to innovation, creativity, and community service.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh - Head of the Department of Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Studies, and Head of the judging panel of the competition, delivered the opening speech for the Final Round of the competition.
Speaking at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - highly appreciated the significance of the competition in the context of higher education promoting interdisciplinary training. Combining linguistics with artificial intelligence not only helps students expand their professional capabilities but also contributes to affirming the position of social sciences and humanities in the digital age.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son, the ideas and products presented in the final round demonstrate that humanities students are fully capable of mastering technology, transforming linguistic knowledge into useful solutions for education, communication, and the community. The university hopes that from competitions like "Language and AI," many promising projects will continue to be nurtured, developed, and disseminated beyond the classroom.

The final round of the competition brought together 11 outstanding teams selected from 54 teams in the preliminary round. Here, the teams continued to present, defend, and compete with creative ideas and outstanding academic products, aiming to find the most convincing and valuable product of the competition, while also showcasing the competence, scientific thinking, and innovative spirit of students in the fields of Language and Artificial Intelligence.
In the exhibition area, competing teams presented their products through posters, infographics, and hands-on experiences, making it easy for viewers to access the ideas, solutions, and stories behind each project. The atmosphere was always lively with continuous exchanges between students, faculty, and visitors.
On stage, the presentations and direct Q&A sessions before the judging panel became the highlight of the program. Eleven teams confidently introduced their products, answered technical questions, and defended the feasibility of their solutions. The combination of serious academic thinking and creative presentation created an atmosphere that was both academically rigorous and youthful and approachable.
Projects highly praised for their scientific merit, creativity, and practical applications include: the web game "Cultural Adventure," "Shopping with Jame," "Vietnamese-Chinese Handbook," "Learning Vietnamese Through Music," a short 3D animated series exploring language misunderstandings while traveling in Vietnam, the game "Learning Vietnamese with Kids," "Six Magical Tones," and the chatbot "Teacher Boo" with an AI assistant connecting knowledge in Introduction and Vocabulary Studies…

Concluding the final round, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding teams with exceptional products that clearly demonstrated interdisciplinary thinking between linguistics and artificial intelligence, and possessed high potential for practical application. These awards not only recognized the students' academic efforts and creativity but also served as encouragement for their ideas to be further refined, developed, and disseminated.
Through the submitted entries and communication activities centered around the theme "Language and AI," the competition opens up a new approach to building long-term value-added products such as teaching videos, digital learning materials, tools to support Vietnamese language learning, and linguistic corpora for research, contributing to bringing linguistics closer to digital life and the community.
