On May 22, 2023, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, affiliated with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), successfully held its Gratitude and Graduation Ceremony for its first graduating class. It was a magnificent and meaningful event for the school's first graduating group.
Attending the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities), representatives of the Parents' Association, all students from grades 10 and 11, and especially 144 students from grade 12. Attending the event, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - shared her joy with the first cohort of students, the first and only cohort of students at the only specialized high school in the country training in the field of social sciences and humanities. She also congratulated the first cohort on their outstanding academic achievements, noting that they overcame all difficulties, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, to achieve many excellent results in student competitions, from the Hanoi National University Olympic level to the national level, bringing honor to the school and placing it on par with other specialized high schools with long traditions and achievements nationwide. The fact that more than 80% of the 12th-grade students have already received offers from universities both domestically and internationally demonstrates their capabilities. The joy and pride felt when the students achieve success not only provides them with a foundation to pursue their future ambitions but also strengthens the teachers' belief in the expectations set since the establishment of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities.

Dung advised the younger students: “From now on, the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities will not only be a four-story building for students, but also become a symbol of goodness, of maturity, continuing the tradition of the Faculty of Literature. Whether that symbol will endure, whether it will be preserved and developed, largely depends on you students – the next generations of the school.” The Graduation and Appreciation Ceremony took place in an atmosphere filled with cherished memories and profound emotion among all students, teachers, and delegates. This feeling of nostalgia extended beyond the graduating 12th graders to the 10th and 11th graders, creating an unforgettable impression of the first generation of senior students who brought vibrant colors to this young specialized high school.
