On May 22, 2023, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) successfully organized the Gratitude and Coming of Age Ceremony for the first batch of students of the School. A grand and meaningful event for the first graduating class of the School.
Attending the event were Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (Principal of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities), representatives of the school's Parents' Association, all students of grades 10 and 11, and especially 144 students of grade 12. Attending the event, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities shared her joy with the first batch of students, the first and only batch of students of the only specialized school in the country to train in the field of social sciences and humanities. She also shared her joy with the results and excellent academic achievements of the first batch of students when they overcame all difficulties, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, to achieve many excellent results in competitions for excellent students, from the Hanoi National University Olympic level to the national level, bringing glory to the school, so that the school can be on par with other specialized schools with long traditions and achievements in the country. The fact that more than 80% of grade 12 students have received invitations from universities at home and abroad has shown their abilities. The joy and pride of students' achievements not only helps them have more foundation to realize their future ambitions but also helps teachers have confidence in the expectations set forth since the establishment of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities.

Also at the event, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as the departments and training units in the school for always creating conditions for students to develop; along with the sacrifices and care of parents and teachers of the school during the learning and training process of students. He said that three years is not too long but has many memories, associated with the efforts of students to strive, study and cultivate, so that they can transform from small, clumsy and innocent students into people with deeper awareness, more mature thinking, more steady in style and more skillful in behavior. He also appreciates the efforts of the first-year students during the three years of studying at the school and wishes them success on the long road ahead.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (School Principal) expressed his emotion and happiness when witnessing the sweet achievements and maturity in both knowledge and personality of the first class of students of the School.
Also at the event, Mr. Le Xuan Khe (Head of the Parents' Representative Board of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his gratitude to the teachers who have devoted themselves to teaching their children to grow up every day, both in terms of study and morality, and wished the K1 students to overcome all difficulties and bring glory to the School and to their parents.
Mr. Le Xuan Khe - Head of the School's Parents' Committee sent his deep thanks to the teachers who taught the students to be good people.
In particular, during the ceremony, on behalf of all students of Course 1, student Tran Trung Dung - a 12th grade student of the Literature Department - gave a very emotional speech, recounting the entire process of how he and his friends grew up at the young specialized school. Dung told the students of the next class: "From now on, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities will not only be a 4-storey building for students, but also become a symbol of goodness, of maturity, continuing the tradition of the Faculty of Literature. Whether that symbol will last or not, whether it will be preserved and promoted or not, depends largely on the students - the next generations of the School." The Gratitude and Coming of Age Ceremony took place in an atmosphere filled with memories and great emotion of all students, teachers and delegates. Not only the 12th graders preparing to graduate, this excitement also spread to the 10th and 11th graders, creating an unforgettable impression of the first generation of seniors who created a brilliant color for the young Specialized School.

Also at the ceremony, the final round of the School's Kings & Queens Competition took place with the participation of the 5 best couples. The contestants answered behavioral questions in many languages: Vietnamese, English, Chinese, German,... about urgent issues in society such as preserving cultural identity, the role of the young generation, lifestyle and ethics.
