The regulations for regular university admissions consist of 3 chapters and 12 articles, stipulating contents related to admission eligibility, admission methods, preferential policies in admission, direct admission and priority admission criteria, entrance thresholds for training programs, application submission procedures, enrollment confirmation, and responsibilities of relevant parties. The basic contents remain stable from the previous year.
This regulation applies to units, organizations, and individuals involved in the admission of students to regular undergraduate programs with degrees awarded by the Director of VNU, the Rectors of member universities, and joint training programs with foreign educational institutions where VNU awards degrees, or where both institutions award degrees (it does not apply to admission to joint training programs with degrees awarded by foreign educational institutions).
In 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had a total of over 2,000 undergraduate enrollment slots allocated to 27 training programs, an increase of nearly 320 slots compared to the previous year.
At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, five admission methods are still applied: Direct admission and priority admission according to the current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; Direct admission and priority admission according to the specific regulations of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Admission based on valid results of the aptitude test organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Admission based on international foreign language certificates and other international certificates; Admission based on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam.
