Candidates should take note regarding registration for regular university admissions in 2024.
With 10 days remaining before the deadline for finalizing university admission preferences, the 2024 University Admission Preference Selection Fair took place at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (No. 1 Dai Co Viet Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) to provide detailed answers to candidates on how to optimally select and register their preferences for suitable universities and majors.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre newspaper, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung (Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training) said that with 20 university admission methods in 2024, candidates have many options to register for their preferred majors and universities.
To date, many universities have announced the results of their admissions based on high school transcripts, aptitude test scores, etc. The Ministry of Education and Training requires that all student applications must be registered on the Ministry of Education and Training's common admissions portal or the National Public Service Portal.
According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 18th to 5 PM on July 30th, candidates can register, adjust, and supplement their university admission preferences an unlimited number of times. All candidate preferences are processed on the system, and each candidate will only be admitted to the highest-ranked preference among those registered, provided they meet the admission requirements. Candidates who have completed the early admission process for universities, if they meet the admission requirements, must still register their preferences on the system to be considered for admission according to regulations.
With 153 booths from 39 institutions, the 2024 University Admissions Application Fair will feature representatives from the Department of Higher Education and universities, including the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, who will directly answer pressing questions from candidates and parents regarding this year's admissions regulations and application registration.
