The VNU Teaching Innovation Award is an initiative of the Center for Educational Cooperation, organized annually in conjunction with the VNU Teaching Festival. Its purpose is to encourage and spread the spirit of innovation, support, and honor lecturers who have made outstanding contributions and innovations to teaching and learning activities at VNU.
On October 19-20, 2020, lecturers/teachers from Vietnam National University, Hanoi participating in Category 1 (Outstanding Project on developing courses/subjects using a blended learning approach) presented their projects to the evaluation council. The five best projects were selected and received funding for implementation, with a support level of 20 million VND per project.
The project from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, titled "Innovating the 'Creative Thinking and Idea Design' course using a blended learning approach," implemented by Dr. Nguyen Thi Nam Hoang – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature, along with 9 other members, has become one of the 5 projects selected to receive an award.

The Center for Teaching Support will award the "VNU Innovative Educators 2020" prize to lecturers/teachers from 05 outstanding projects at the VNU Teaching Festival (scheduled to be held on January 19, 2021).

Information about the project "Innovating the 'Creative Thinking and Idea Design' course module using a blended learning approach" On behalf of the group of authors:Dr. Nguyen Thi Nam Hoang– Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature and 9 members:
Teaching experience and strengths of the author(s) involved in the project: The project team consists of faculty members with many years of experience teaching literature and art studies at the Faculty of Literature – University of Social Sciences and Humanities, covering specific fields such as: Vietnamese literature, Western literature, Eastern literature, folklore and culture, and art studies. Associate Professor Pham Xuan Thach, the group's overall leader, is the Head of the Faculty of Literature and has experience managing and leading projects, working groups, and developing the unit's training programs. Dr. Nguyen Thi Nam Hoang – Head of Professional Development, has experience managing and operating the Department of Modern Vietnamese Literature. Currently, she is the Vice Dean in charge of undergraduate training at the Faculty of Literature. She has participated in many training courses on pedagogical skills and innovation, such as: the Innovative and Entrepreneurial Educator course of the VIBE Project (she was one of the VIBE Batch 3 trainees selected to study at the UCD Innovation Academy, and one of the 20 VIBE innovation ambassadors in phase 2), the Active Citizen and Social Enterprise trainer training course organized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the British Council, and two ToT courses on Policy Research and Policy and Management organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Luxembourg Foundation. She directly proposed and developed the course module.Creative thinking and idea designand manage the teaching staff for the course. Dr. Dao Minh Quan – the head of technology, is the Deputy Head of the Training Department, has experience in managing and operating training programs, and possesses in-depth expertise in information technology and educational technology. The other members of the team are experienced lecturers and researchers, responsible and passionate about innovation, and eager to improve teaching effectiveness. The authors' team has a strong teamwork spirit and experience, having collaborated effectively on many specific professional tasks.
