1.Admission objects
- Candidates who have graduated from Vietnam's high school program (in the form of formal education or continuing education) or have graduated from intermediate level (in which, those who have graduated from intermediate level but do not have a high school diploma must study and pass the required amount of high school cultural knowledge according to the provisions of the Law on Education and guiding documents for implementation) or have graduated from a foreign high school program (permitted by the host country to implement, achieving a level equivalent to Vietnam's high school level) abroad or in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as high school graduates).
- Have enough health to study according to current regulations. For people with disabilities recognized by competent authorities as having deformities, disabilities, or reduced ability to self-reliant in daily life and study, school principals will consider and decide to allow them to apply for majors suitable to their health condition.
- Meet the preliminary requirements if applying for admission (DKXT) or taking the entrance exam to schools/faculties with preliminary requirements.
2. Admission scope:VNU enrolls students nationwide and internationally.
3. Admission method
3.1. Admission Round 1:
(1) Direct admission, priority admission: According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and Special Regulations and Admission Guidelines of VNU;
(2) Consider the results of the 2021 high school graduation exam according to the combination of subjects/exams specified in the School's Admission Plan;
(3) Admission by other methods:
- Consider candidates with the results of the competency assessment test (AAP) organized by VNU in 2021 and international certificates (SAT, A-Level, ACT, IELTS and equivalent international certificates - included in the list of regulations of VNU);
- Review of capacity profile(high school academic results, interview, 2021 high school graduation exam scores or candidates with international baccalaureate diploma)For some training units with international cooperation and English-taught programs;
- Candidates who are foreigners must meet the requirements according to the regulations of the
VNU and Ministry of Education and Training(Regulations on attracting and managing international students at VNU issued together with Decision No. 4848/QD-VNU dated December 18, 2017 of VNU; Circular 30/2018/TT-BGDDT dated December 24, 2018 of the Ministry of Education and Training).
3.2. Additional admission round (if there are still vacancies)
Admission is the same as Round 1, specific admission regulations for each corresponding major are announced on the Admissions Portal of VNU and the training unit.(if any).
For Talented, International Standard, High Quality Training Programs: Admission is based on the results of the 2021 High School Graduation Exam or from other recruitment sources according to the specific requirements of each industry/training program.(will be announced in detail in the 2021 University Admissions Project of the unit).After being admitted to training units, candidates wishing to study Talented, International Standard, High Quality training programs must achieve the admission score for the corresponding major/training program mentioned above according to the corresponding admission combination.
The registration score for these training programs is determined by the Admissions Council, but is at least equal to or higher than the admission score for the corresponding standard training program/major.
