
In his opening remarks, Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong thanked the Board of Directors of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and Associate Professor Dr. Le Tuan Anh personally for their significant support and assistance to the international cooperation activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities over the past period. With the attention of VNU, the efforts of functional departments, and the effective and close coordination of various units, the University's international cooperation has achieved many important accomplishments: expanding international partnerships, promoting student exchange programs, organizing international conferences, and attracting foreign students to study at the University. The success of this area of activity not only increases resources for the University but also contributes to promoting and spreading the brand and image of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to a wider international audience. During today's training session, the organizing committee looks forward to receiving many shared experiences from the practical activities of the units within the university, and proposing some solutions to ensure that international cooperation activities are implemented in accordance with regulations, in a more substantive and effective manner in the future.

Representing Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), Associate Professor Dr. Le Tuan Anh shared an overview of VNU's foreign relations activities and future development orientations, emphasizing that expanding and diversifying foreign relations activities in training, scientific research, and technology transfer is a key focus of VNU. Therefore, VNU fully supports, facilitates, and assists its member units in strengthening these activities. However, when implementing international cooperation activities, units need to carefully study and ensure strict compliance with the regulations of the Government and VNU.
Associate Professor Dr. Le Tuan Anh emphasized key points to note in the process of organizing international scientific conferences: paying particular attention to conferences with themes or presentations on politics, religion, etc.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung (Head of the Cooperation and Development Department) presented a general report on international cooperation activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, providing data on international cooperation agreements, the situation of foreign students studying at the University, and some notes on registering for international conferences. Based on the achievements and some shortcomings, the report proposed several solutions to better meet the learning needs and living conditions of international students in the future.

Despite many other important events taking place concurrently with the workshop, the participating units still assigned representatives from their faculties and specialized staff to attend in full, openly sharing their experiences in organizing scientific workshops and training international students at their respective units.
Representatives from the Faculties presented several proposals and expressed their hope that VNU and the University would continue to support and facilitate the smooth and effective implementation of the Faculties' external relations activities.

Concluding the workshop, Vice Rector Dao Thanh Truong highly appreciated the significance of this activity: this was the first training session of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on international cooperation. Attendees listened to very useful exchanges from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tuan Anh - an experienced expert in managing foreign affairs and international cooperation at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Furthermore, staff directly involved in foreign affairs from various units within the University shared some difficulties encountered during implementation and jointly proposed solutions to promote and improve the quality of international cooperation activities.
