Conclusion at the July 2025 meeting

On July 7, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a School Conference. Principal Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the Conference, attended by the Party Secretary, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Vice Principals, Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries of Party Cells, Heads, Deputy Heads of Units, Chief Accountant, Editor-in-Chief of the Magazine and leaders of mass organizations.
After listening to the opinions exchanged and discussed at the Conference on the following contents: (1) Report on the implementation of work in June 2025 and the Work Plan for July 2025; (2) Report on the implementation of the Principal's Conclusion at the Conference on work in June 2025; (3) Exchange and discussion of units and functional departments; (4) Opinions of Vice Principals; The Principal concluded:
1. Organizational work - Party delegation:Continue to complete the procedures for implementing the arrangement and restructuring of level 2 units, ending the operations of level 3 units (departments) to deploy a suitable and effective professional community model, facilitating the process of developing a high-quality human resource team and perfecting the academic titles/degrees of teaching staff.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan presented a bouquet of flowers to express gratitude for the contributions of Secretary Bui Thanh Nam after more than 9 years as Head of Training Department.
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu received the decision to appoint him as Head of Training Department - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien received the decision to appoint the position of Head of the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU
Dr. Nguyen Van Anh received the decision to appoint him as Director of the Museum of History and Culture, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU
2. Recruitment and Training:
- Regular university admission: Closely follow the roadmap of the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU to ensure regulations, progress, quantity and quality of recruitment sources.
- Adjust 28 bachelor's programs to complete in August 2025, complete issuance procedures and start training in September 2025.
- There are regulations on common output standards. Relevant units are requested to coordinate with the Training Department to deploy a balance for the industry/specialized knowledge block for acceptance in July 2025 and submit the application to VNU in August 2025.
- The school has agreed to approve the majors, requesting relevant departments to review and develop appropriate courses in majors/specializations to promptly support enrollment work.
- Assign the Training Department to act as the focal point to advise the Board of Directors to develop and open 1-2 more joint training programs with the English language block in the first half of July 2025. Continue to accelerate the implementation of joint activities with Chinese language training facilities as planned.
- Organize training for Masters and PhDs according to schedule and ensure quality. Heads of units are concerned with managing professional quality (topics, theses, dissertations), paying special attention to the trend of tightening doctoral training by the Ministry of Education and Training.
- The school has approved more than 51 short-term training programs. Relevant departments are requested to complete procedures and techniques to serve communication and wide promotion to learners. The school will discuss and agree on assigning focal points/departments to support units in carrying out administrative procedures for bidding and settlement.
- The Training Department completes regulations on organizing Vietnamese language certification exams outside the 6-level framework with partners to issue in the first week of July 2025.
- Continue to be proactive and creative in communication work, promote the implementation of communication content about the 80th anniversary of tradition and 30th anniversary of the School's founding.
3. DBCL work:Continue to implement and complete the evaluation procedures of the programs as planned. Assign the Quality Assurance Department as the focal point, the High School for Gifted Social Sciences and Humanities actively coordinates with the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to ensure the progress of the accreditation of the High School for Gifted Social Sciences and Humanities.
- The school's leaders will work with the leaders and parents of the Specialized High School to exchange information about the school's activities, including calculating plans to increase operating resources for the Specialized School in the current context of budget cuts and tuition exemption.
4. Learner Affairs:Continue to thoroughly innovate the work of learners, from records and documents to the way to take care of learners to the maximum. Assign the CTNH department to develop a plan to proactively develop scholarship sources and alumni work to strengthen connections, mobilize resources and report to the Board of Directors before July 15, 2025.
- Develop and advise on plans/methods for organizing the Graduation Ceremony in a solemn yet modern spirit, innovating the program to enhance the image of the School.
5. Inspection work:Assign the Inspectorate to coordinate with the TCCB Department and the HCTH Department to monitor labor discipline of administrative staff throughout the School (to be implemented in July, starting operation from August 1, 2025, officially and strictly applied from September 1, 2025.
- Assign the Inspection Department to develop a plan to inspect and internally monitor the operations of a number of work areas to support the completion of the process and avoid prolonged errors.
6. Scientific Work:
- Library + Textbook Project: Promote progress based on ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Workshops/conferences: Implement as planned, paying special attention to key/important workshops in the coming time.
- Review the management document system to complete necessary documents in July 2025 and issue them in August 2025 to ensure strict regulations when implementing tasks (curriculum; funding for science...).
- The Department of Scientific Research Management works with units to receive proposals that can be integrated with the 8 science and technology programs of VNU and the science and technology policy of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the new spirit and complete the key science and technology project, submit it to the Board of Directors for approval and signing before July 18, 2025.
7. Foreign Affairs:Continue to promote attracting and increasing the number of foreign students and experts.
8. Administrative work - Facilities:
- Promote the System Management Software Project, ensuring it is put into operation before September 15, 2025.
- Complete infrastructure renovation in July and the first half of August 2025, ensuring synchronous operation from August 15, 2025 and stability for many years to come.
- The logo and visual identity have been issued after a process of collecting opinions and strict adjustments. Units are requested to use them according to regulations, ensuring consistency and uniformity, while promoting communication, spreading widely, and enhancing the image of the School.
9. Financial work:Complete the technical and vocational training programs and finalize and issue tuition fee decisions for application; Continue to calculate financial plans for the autonomous roadmap.
10. Other tasks:Implement according to the issued plan.
The Board of Directors is requested to regularly urge and direct work areas, strengthen inspection work, and report to the Principal on the implementation of plans and tasks in the areas under their responsibility. The functional departments are requested to proactively implement and ensure time, especially for key activities.
Heads of units are requested to widely inform and implement the Principal's conclusions at monthly meetings seriously, fully and on schedule.
The Administration - General Department respectfully announces the Principal's conclusion at the July 2025 work conference for functional departments and units to know and implement.
