Attending the Conference were the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the School Council, the Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the Party branches, the Heads and Deputy Heads of institutes, faculties, and departments; representatives of the leadership of functional departments under the Board of Directors and affiliated centers; the Secretary of the School Council; and the leaders of the Party and Union Office.
In the joyful spirit of the early days of the New Year, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan extended his best wishes and expressed his gratitude to the leadership and faculty of all units within the School for their collective efforts and contributions to the overall success of the School.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the school's monthly meeting in February 2025.
At the 2025 year-end briefing, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan requested that attendees focus their discussions on tasks and directions not only for February but also for the entire year of 2025: Identifying the pressures of autonomy, educational trends, and the rapid and strong changes and development of science and technology, which require adaptation in all aspects of organizational structure, administrative apparatus, training programs/departments, and faculty; proactively updating and innovating teaching methods, supporting and serving learners; and simultaneously discussing some key issues in training (student recruitment, standardization of training management, etc.), scientific research, and organizational structure.
Representing the Training Department, Mr. Pham Van Hue (Deputy Head of Training Department) shared information about the orientation and key tasks of training in 2025, summarized through 5 Cs (Standard, Quality, Specialization, Care, and Common): Training will be strongly and systematically reformed according to the regulations and rules of the Ministry of Education and Training (especially postgraduate training); quality will be improved (one of the levers being the genuine promotion of digital transformation in all stages of the training process), moving towards international standards; professionalism and dedication; careful implementation; and everyone will work together to resolutely achieve the set goals and principles: the more rigorous, serious, and high-quality the recruitment and training process is, the more high-quality students will be attracted to study at the School.

Regarding the scientific field, Dr. Trinh Van Dinh (Head of the Research Management Department) informed: By December 2024, the University had approved a list of 83 works belonging to the series, and expects to complete the publication of all of them by October. Therefore, units need to finalize manuscripts and submit them to the Research Management Department in March and April; the textbook compilation work has been initiated, with 52 titles already registered. The textbook compilation work also needs to be accelerated and the procedures for signing compilation contracts need to be completed in accordance with regulations.
In 2025, the University will review and issue new documents to better suit the current situation, aiming to provide maximum support to faculty members in international publications, professional development, and the completion of professional qualification standards. According to the registration plan, approximately 34 national and international scientific conferences are expected to be held in 2025, with the main themes related to the 80th anniversary of the University's tradition and the 30th anniversary of its founding. Units should ensure meticulous organization, adherence to regulations, and particular attention to the publication and dissemination of conference products.

Dr. Pham Huy Cuong, Director of the Center for Training Quality Assurance, shared the accreditation plan and post-accreditation improvements for training programs in 2025, emphasizing the completion of self-assessment dossiers for the first three master's programs and the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities according to the specific standards of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam (Head of the Training Department) informed: Currently, the Training Department is finalizing the 2025 enrollment plan, which includes the projected enrollment numbers and allocation for each major. Two new training programs are in the final stages of completion for approval by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and are expected to begin enrollment this year. Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam also noted that when developing orientation plans for majors, units need to carefully study Circular 09 of the Ministry of Education and Training on the Statistical List of Training Majors in Higher Education because, from 2023 onwards, there are no longer pilot training programs with codes. Therefore, when educational institutions propose new training programs, they must be included in the list approved and assigned codes by the Ministry.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized several key tasks for 2025: conducting a comprehensive review of all training programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels to make necessary adjustments; strengthening the development of electronic lectures (the university will establish a Steering Committee for the electronic lecture compilation project to ensure uniformity throughout the university); standardizing master's degree training according to the established "training clock" to ensure formality, rigor, and quality improvement; and enhancing the effectiveness of student support services. Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong noted: “The successful launch of a new training program depends not only on the availability of lecturers and facilities but also heavily on the annual graduation rate and the employment rate of graduates. One of the key solutions is to improve the quality of teaching and student support so that graduates can graduate early, on time, and quickly find suitable jobs after graduation. Before the 2025 New Year, the University organized a meeting with alumni. As employers, the alumni exchanged valuable opinions and committed to working with the University in training, supporting internship placements, and job opportunities for students. Therefore, the University hopes that all units will actively build and expand the network of alumni and employers, sharing information throughout the university to successfully organize the annual Job Fair in March, while also bringing practical value to students.”

Professor Lai Quoc Khanh shared that in 2025, the university will continue the renovation of facilities and campus grounds in building G, and auxiliary facilities in buildings A, B, and C to ensure uniformity; at the same time, it will review, adjust, and rearrange the workspaces throughout the university to suit the functions and tasks of the units after streamlining, in order to increase the area of lecture halls and student rest areas to serve the increased enrollment scale.
Based on the discussions with the Vice Rectors, heads of functional departments, and training units, the Rector concluded by emphasizing several major directions and key tasks for February and the entire year of 2025:
- Continue restructuring and reorganizing the structure of departments, divisions, and centers towards a lean, efficient, effective, and effective model.
- Focus on developing a team of experts and scientists, ensuring a balance between attracting talent from outside and training and developing them from within.
- The school creates favorable conditions for scientific staff and lecturers to perform their teaching and research functions, minimizing administrative tasks, in order to encourage teaching staff to develop their strengths. We request that heads of units proactively and boldly arrange staffing efficiently to ensure work effectiveness.
- Successfully organized the Party branch congresses, leading to the successful organization of the 29th Party Congress of the University in the spirit of democracy, transparency, unity, solidarity, on schedule, in accordance with regulations, substantive, and with a willingness to think, act, and innovate, for the collective good.
- We request that the secretaries of the Party branches and heads of the units promptly read and provide feedback on the Draft Political Report of the 29th Party Congress, and send it to the Party Committee Office so that the Document Subcommittee can continue to refine it.
- Prepare and organize the 80th anniversary celebration and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities well, with a focus on completing the publication of materials and conference papers on schedule and ensuring quality. These works are not only the aspirations of many generations who have been dedicated to building the reputation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, but also high-level scientific products that contribute to consolidating the position and social influence, fostering trust, and shaping the development direction of the University in the new phase of higher education in Vietnam and the world.
- Student recruitment, training, and care: Implement according to the Party Committee's conclusions and the School's work plan, ensuring strictness, professionalism, and effectiveness, with particular attention to accelerating the completion of the standardization of postgraduate training management according to the agreed plan.
- Complete the development of the socio-economic development programs; conduct accreditation of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities to move towards autonomy; and finalize the adjustment of the Internal Spending Regulations.
- We request that heads of units widely disseminate the content of the Rector's conclusions at the monthly briefing sessions to all faculty members and employees in their units so that everyone can fully understand, agree upon, and effectively implement them.
