Quality assessment of training units is an urgent requirement in the process of international cooperation and is an important task that VNU has set for its member units, in order to both implement legal regulations and demonstrate the responsibility of training units to society.

The purpose of the self-assessment of the training program quality is to assess the level of compliance with the Training Program Quality Assessment Standards prescribed by the National University for training programs at all training levels. From there, it is aimed at assessing the current quality status and improving and enhancing the quality of the training program and registering for quality assessment.

In June 2015, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU issued a decision to establish a "Self-assessment Council for High-Quality Bachelor of Management Science Training Program" with 17 members. To implement the self-assessment plan, the Faculty of Management Science has made a very detailed implementation plan and held a meeting of the entire faculty to disseminate the plan and clearly assign tasks to specialized groups.

This activity has attracted widespread attention from all leaders, lecturers and students in the entire Faculty. Thereby, it makes the staff, lecturers and students in the Faculty more aware and responsible for ensuring the quality of education in the process of performing assigned tasks, contributing to improving the efficiency of work, position and responsibility of the Faculty before learners and society.

In her opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University, Vice President of the Management Science Program Evaluation Council emphasized: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is a prestigious university with a long tradition. For many years, the University has always been a leading unit of VNU in quality assessment and self-assessment.

The School itself agrees that when participating in accreditation, we will determine where we are, what our strengths are, what our limitations and weaknesses are, and from there propose directions and solutions to improve the quality of training, ensure the best learning and scientific research environment, and move towards a research university in the future.

Some basic strengths of the training program of the Management Science major at CLC system

1. Training program and training program output standards

The Faculty of Management Science has developed a training program according to the roadmap suitable for the general situation of the School and VNU. The program is different from the standard management science program framework such as adding some management subjects: game theory, geopolitics...; in the foreign language condition (B2 certificate or equivalent); students defend in English; students are required to do scientific research (prerequisite for doing thesis)...

The program is designed based on modern educational philosophies, referring to the content of management science training programs in countries around the world as well as the results of social needs surveys, reflected through feedback from final year students, alumni, lecturers, experts and employers in accordance with management practices in Vietnam.

Knowledge blocks, number of credits and study schedule are allocated reasonably. The Faculty advocates increasing the duration of specialized subjects.

The Faculty has publicized the training program and training program description through many different information channels, creating convenience for students, academic advisors, and training managers during use.

The program has high connectivity from bachelor's to master's degree.

The output standards of the entire training program and the output standards of each specific subject, easily measurable in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes, help learners orient their learning capacity development as well as the ability to change careers in the future or continue to pursue lifelong learning goals, meeting the needs of society and learners.

2. Teaching and learning strategies

Teaching and learning strategies are clearly defined in philosophy from students to faculty; innovative teaching methods… create a high level of interaction between students and faculty.

The learning environment creates initiative for students to develop and creates consensus throughout the faculty.

The teaching staff for the program are well-trained, highly qualified (mostly PhDs, Associate Professors and Professors), have pedagogical experience and international teaching experience, master advanced teaching and assessment methods; at the same time, they must be experts to inspire students with the ability to discover, solve problems, think creatively and think critically.

3. Scientific research

The scientific research achievements of the faculty are worthy of a high-quality training unit. A number of State-level scientific topics, protocols, ministerial-level topics, and VNU-Hanoi-level topics have been and are being implemented.

The Faculty Party Cell has passed a resolution that each lecturer in the faculty must have a published work in an ISSN journal (higher requirements than the School) and each lecturer must undertake 2-3 courses within the faculty's curriculum.

4. Learners and advising learners

The source of incoming students is well selected, not only from candidates who apply directly to the faculty but also from students from other faculties in the school.

100 high-quality students have jobs after graduation

The training of high-quality programs always receives the attention and consensus of the entire faculty. The faculty has a team of academic advisors in charge of high-quality classes who are enthusiastic, responsible, experienced and have foreign language proficiency.

Extracurricular activities are always emphasized.

The School and Faculty always focus on collecting feedback from stakeholders to design, build, and adjust training programs, improve the quality of courses, and match training and employment.
