Associate Professor and Meritorious Teacher Vuong Dinh Quyen presents books to Associate Professor and Doctor Nguyen Van Kim, Vice Rector of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Associate Professor and Meritorious Teacher Vuong Dinh Quyen was one of the first staff members of the Department of Archival Studies under the Faculty of History, former University of Hanoi, now the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
From an interdisciplinary perspective encompassing history, textual studies, and archival studies, Associate Professor and Meritorious Teacher Vuong Dinh Quyen has conducted numerous research works on the history of Vietnamese writing; and on the types of documents, books, and papers used during the feudal period.
To teach and provide students with reference materials, he wrote articles covering most aspects of document management and archiving during the feudal era: from institutions to the recruitment of officials to handle paperwork; from regulations on communication to the management and use of seals and taboos in documents; from the collection, preservation, and use of documents in historical compilation…
He also wrote insightful articles analyzing and clarifying the role and contributions of Minh Mệnh – the emperor who "founded the Nguyễn dynasty's archives" in particular, and Vietnam's archives in general.

In his writings, alongside expressing joy about the development of the Faculty and the academic field, he consistently reflects on and shares his thoughts about development direction, research orientation, the structure of training programs, and issues requiring adjustments and additions to the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Archival Studies and Office Management, so that they both meet the requirements of a leading national research-oriented university and are suitable for the practical situation in Vietnam.
The book is divided into three parts: Part 1, Issues concerning the history of Vietnamese document management and archiving; Part 2, Theory and practice of document management and archiving; Part 3, Research and training in archival studies and office management.
In addition to the selected articles in this book, he is also the author and co-author of many other monographs such as:State administrative documents and official correspondence during the feudal period of Vietnam.(2002)History of Vietnam's archives(2010) and chaired several other research projects.
