Associate Professor, Meritorious Student Vuong Dinh Quyen presents books to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Vice Principal of Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities
Associate Professor, Meritorious Student Vuong Dinh Quyen is one of the first staff members of the Department of Archival Studies, Faculty of History, former University of General Sciences, now the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (under Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
From the interdisciplinary perspective of history, textual studies and archival studies, Associate Professor, Meritorious Artist Vuong Dinh Quyen has conducted many research works on the history of Vietnamese writing; on the types of documents, books and papers used in feudal times.
To teach and help students have reference materials, he wrote articles covering most of the issues of document and archive work in feudal times: from institutions to the recruitment of officials to carry out work related to documents and papers; from regulations on communication to the management and use of seals and taboos in documents; from the collection, gathering, preservation to the use of documents in historical recording...
He is also the one who wrote an article deeply analyzing and clarifying the role and contributions of Minh Mang - the emperor who "founded the Nguyen Dynasty's archives" in particular, and the Vietnamese archives in general.
In his articles, besides the joy of the development of the Faculty and the field of study, he always worries and shares his thoughts on the development orientation, the research orientation, the structure of training professions, and the issues that need to be adjusted and supplemented in the undergraduate and postgraduate training programs of Archival Science and Office Administration to meet the requirements of a leading training institution in the country with the orientation of a research university, while also being suitable for the practical situation of Vietnam.
The book is divided into 3 parts: Part 1, Issues on the history of Vietnamese documents and archives; Part 2, Theory and practice of documents and archives; Part 3, Research and training on Archival Studies and Office Administration.
In addition to the articles selected in this book, he is also the author and co-author of many other monographs such as:State management documents and official dispatch and paperwork in feudal Vietnam(2002),History of Vietnam Archives(2010) and chaired many other research topics.
Associate Professor, Meritorious Student Vuong Dinh Quyen presents books to Dr. Dao Duc Thuan, Head of the Department of Archival Science and Office Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi.
The book conveys the deep feelings and respect of friends, colleagues and students of the Department of Archival Science and Office Management. This is a particularly meaningful gift to express gratitude for the contributions of Associate Professor, Meritorious Student Vuong Dinh Quyen to the field of Archival Science and Office Management, on the occasion of his "octogenarian" age.
