Japanese Studies: Interdisciplinary and Area Studies Orientation

Japanese Studies – one of the most attractive majors at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – officially became an independent major in the 2019 admissions season. No longer a specialization within Oriental Studies, graduates of this major will receive a Bachelor of Japanese Studies degree. This not only helps graduates easily access jobs relevant to their field of study but also provides an opportunity for the University's Japanese Studies program to develop strongly and integrate more deeply with Japanese studies in the region and the world.
