If in 2000, Vietnam only welcomed 2.1 million international visitors and 11.2 million domestic visitors, by 2018, Vietnam's tourism industry had welcomed 15.6 million international visitors and served over 80 million domestic visitors. Along with the boom in tourists is the rapid development of a system of national and international-class restaurants and hotels nationwide.
