Master's Tea Club was created to provide a 100% English-speaking environment for students to interact and hone their English skills, thereby improving their proficiency in the language and supporting their studies, research, and international integration. The club will hold seminars every two weeks, featuring presentations and discussions by foreign professors and many international students from universities around the world, conducted entirely in English. The club is open to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities from all faculties and departments.
At the opening ceremony of Master's Tea Club, Professor Pham Quang Minh - Rector of the University and Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan - Vice Rector were present to encourage and inspire students on their journey to mastering English.

Professor Pham Quang Minh shared his experience in learning English with the students.
The Rector shared that the idea of establishing a club – an open, friendly space where students can freely express their passion for English by listening, speaking, and conversing in English on any topic – had been brewing in his mind for many years after visiting several American universities. The canteens at these universities served free lunch to students and faculty with only one requirement: “no speaking English.” One could find an interesting multilingual space there, with many different languages spoken. This idea was applied to the Master's Tea Club model to provide students with a completely English-speaking environment and direct interaction with foreign professors. Furthermore, students would have the opportunity to learn new knowledge, develop soft skills, learn critical thinking, and gain valuable information related to their studies and research.

Students not only get to experience an English-speaking environment but also have the opportunity to interact with international friends.
During the first session of the Master's Tea Club, students had the opportunity to meet and chat with Professor Colman Ross from Dublin University (Ireland). He shared about his research work and experiences in Vietnam. Professor Ross also mentioned that he would invite international students to exchange experiences about studying and researching at universities abroad; and invite staff from various international organizations to talk about their work in non-governmental organizations as well as information about scholarships abroad. He also emphasized that if Vietnamese students want to integrate and especially work in the international field, they need to focus on developing their English skills and achieving international English certificates such as IELTS…
