USSH conducts training on Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Startups: Enhancing entrepreneurship teaching capacity for lecturers.

From December 1st to 9th, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, in collaboration with the Dao Minh Quang Foundation, will organize a Training Course for Lecturers on Entrepreneurship – a key activity under the “Sustainable Career Establishment and Entrepreneurship” Project.
The program, directly implemented by the Faculty of Management Science, aims to enhance the teaching and research capabilities in entrepreneurship for lecturers, researchers, and administrators in educational institutions.
In his opening remarks at the training course, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that the program is of special significance in the University's strategy for developing the Entrepreneurship course, which was implemented from 2017-2018 and will be further upgraded to the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" course in the new training program in 2025.
The "Sustainable Career Development and Entrepreneurship" project, signed between the University and the Dao Minh Quang Foundation at the end of 2023, includes several important components: developing entrepreneurship learning materials, creating dynamic lectures, establishing a project incubation space for students, and training faculty members using the Training to Trainers (ToT) model. In 2024, the project organized an in-depth workshop on the German entrepreneurship model, laying the foundation for a series of expanded activities in 2025.

The trainees enthusiastically participated in the learning activities of the training course.
This year's training course attracted over 100 applications from various universities, with 50 participants selected. Participants include lecturers, researchers, experts, and training staff from within and outside Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The program includes a series of in-depth lectures: Overview of entrepreneurship in higher education, Design Thinking, Tools for creating and evaluating ideas, Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas, Market research and target customers, Finance and startup planning, The startup ecosystem in universities, Entrepreneurship teaching methods, along with activities such as designing and conducting trial lectures.
In particular, the program emphasizes practical application and interaction with the participation of reputable experts from businesses, startup support organizations, and researchers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as successful alumni who started businesses within the university environment. Through academic exchange sessions, lectures, and interactive activities, faculty members will receive and co-create many new methods, approaches, and sources of inspiration to integrate entrepreneurship education into the training program in a lively, practical, and effective way. This is also an opportunity to expand the network connecting the university, businesses, and the startup community.
On behalf of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son extended congratulations to the trainees and expressed his hope that the training course would strongly spread the spirit of innovation in the university environment, making a practical contribution to the development of a sustainable startup ecosystem in Vietnam.
