Over the past period, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), as well as the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, have implemented various scholarship policies, including state-funded scholarships and scholarships sponsored by domestic and international organizations and individuals, to encourage students' academic pursuits and support disadvantaged students with outstanding academic achievements. However, according to current state regulations, state-funded scholarships are only available to students currently enrolled and with high academic performance. Meanwhile, basic science majors face difficulties in student recruitment and currently have few students enrolled. Therefore, policies are urgently needed to attract talented students to enroll in basic science majors, thereby affirming VNU's reputation for training high-quality human resources in general.

Me Tri Dormitory boasts spacious residential buildings, a large sports field, a library, and numerous convenient amenities within its grounds.
Every year, students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have the opportunity to receive scholarships from the state budget and from domestic and international organizations and corporations: Chung-Soo Foundation (Korea), AEON Foundation (Japan), Shinhan Bank (Korea), BIDV Bank (Vietnam), Danko Group (Vietnam), Lighting Up Hope Foundation, Dao Minh Quang Foundation (Germany),... In addition, the university also implements many other policies: tuition fee reduction, rewarding students with academic and training achievements, rewarding students for scientific research projects and publications in domestic and international journals, direct admission to higher education levels (master's, doctoral),... creating very practical conditions and support for students studying at the university as well as attracting high-quality students from high schools nationwide.
