On the evening of December 15th, as part of the "Digital Age Thinking" program, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), the Faculty of Information and Library Science, and the USSH Digital Me Club successfully collaborated with Meta Group to organize a seminar on "Building Personal Brands in the Digital Environment".
This is one of the "hot" topics right now, so the seminar attracted nearly 500 students currently studying at universities in Hanoi to attend in person at the auditorium.
Among the guests, the seminar welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities); MC Bui Mai Trang (Editor at Vietnam Television), content creator at Schannel Le Phuc Thanh and MC Tran Khanh Vy (Editor at Vietnam Television). These are influential figures on social media, whose "personal brands" are admired and emulated by many young people.
With many years of experience managing and working in the field of journalism and media, and always accompanying the school's youth in various activities, Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong shared: The most important issue, before building a personal brand, is to behave ethically and ethically on social media; only share information from official and reliable sources. At the same time, building a personal brand should also contribute to building the school's brand, spreading the spirit of humanism, humanistic values, and humanistic responsibility to serve the community and society.

The panel discussion was very open and lively, with sincere and heartfelt sharing from the guests, as well as many questions and concerns posed by the audience to the speakers. Many opinions were discussed, from different perspectives, but all emphasized that in the current context of digital transformation, the strong development of social media and other digital platforms makes "building a personal brand" more important and necessary than ever. Digital transformation is an inevitable trend of modern society, and in the online space, young people can learn, interact, make friends, express their opinions and personal interests, etc. However, the online space also harbors many risks and negative impacts that young people cannot participate in successfully if they lack sufficient knowledge, courage, and sensitivity. This is especially true when it comes to building a personal image effectively, respectfully, and for the right goals!
Therefore, the success of the seminar lay in helping the audience better understand the concept of "personal branding," who needs to build a personal brand, and the value that a personal brand brings to each individual. At the end of the seminar, the speakers, drawing on their own experiences, offered valuable advice and essential tools that young people need to build a suitable and civilized image in the digital space – tools that help them enhance their value and move closer to their goals.
This seminar also marks the conclusion of the DIGITALKS talk show series in 2022. Throughout the past year, much valuable, useful, and interesting knowledge has been shared with a large number of young people across the country. With the results that the DIGITALKS talk show series has brought, 2023 promises to be an even more explosive and successful year.
