The dialogue between the university leadership and students is an annual event aimed at providing an opportunity for students from all years and majors to express their thoughts, aspirations, and desires regarding their studies and training at the university. The university leaders listen to students' concerns and answer their questions, while also providing information about the university's policies, directions, and development. Furthermore, students' suggestions and initiatives can help the university make timely and appropriate adjustments in its management.
Participating in the dialogue were teachers from the School's Board of Directors, leaders of functional departments, representatives from the Center for National Defense and Security Education - VNU Hanoi, representatives from the Information and Library Center - VNU Hanoi, representatives from the Me Tri Dormitory Management Board, representatives from the Center for Physical Education and Sports - VNU Hanoi, and representatives from the 182 Luong The Vinh Multi-Specialty Clinic.
The dialogue was chaired by Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Principals Dang Thi Thu Huong, Lai Quoc Khanh, Dao Thanh Truong, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs and Student Support Department Dinh Tien Hieu, and Secretary of the Youth Union Ta Thi Bich Ngoc.
The organizing committee of the dialogue received nearly 70 different opinions from students (including both direct questions in the hall and written submissions), focusing on several main topics such as: The need to increase the number of skills training courses and talk shows on diverse topics for students; The need for more scientifically organized internships and practical training for third-year and final-year students; The issue of foreign language proficiency requirements for students; Scholarships and tuition fees; Support in providing materials and textbooks for studying and completing final exams and credits; Improvement of the wifi system, classroom facilities, and increased rest and self-study areas for students; and Enhancement of club activities and student union activities.
All questions and concerns from students were answered in detail and satisfactorily by the Board of Directors and leaders of functional units. Concluding the dialogue, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan thanked and highly appreciated the students' bold and open sharing of their concerns during their studies and scientific research at the university. The university values the students' advice and contributions and will make necessary adjustments to strengthen student support, improve facilities and equipment, reform administrative procedures, and enhance the effectiveness of training, scientific research, and student union activities, following the motto: "Always putting the learner at the center, strengthening support, care, and companionship with all students throughout their four years of study at the university." In the coming time, the University hopes to receive the sharing and understanding from the students, and wishes that you will have joyful and successful days of study, together spreading the brand and humanistic values of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Your success and growth are the pride of the University.
