A refreshing green corner of HOLA, as perceived by Hanoi University of Humanities students.
Leaving behind our familiar lecture halls, we donned our green military uniforms and lived a disciplined, neat, and serious life. The alarm clock at 5:30 a.m., the long, straight lines under the Hola sun, the practical lessons requiring coordination and perseverance from each individual in the company – all created an experience very different from our daily student life.

At Hola, we not only improve our physical health and discipline, but also gain a deeper understanding of our responsibilities as young people to our country. Lectures on history and the tradition of defending the nation help us see more clearly the value of peace today and the significance of contributing to the future. Our love for the Faculty of Humanities is thus strengthened, because it is here that we have had the opportunity to study and grow in such an environment.
Amidst the sun and wind of Hoa Lac, sometimes we were exhausted after training, but just a smile at each other, sharing a glass of soda, and the whole group felt more relaxed. It was friendship, team spirit, and the never-give-up attitude that created the beautiful memories of our twenties.
My time at Hola reminded me that, as a humanities student, love isn't just about knowledge and our school, but also about our country. From that love, we carry the aspiration to live meaningful lives, to contribute our youthful energy to continue writing the story of our generation – a story about responsibility, pride, and faith in Vietnam's future.
