Studying at Hanoi University of Humanities gives me wonderful opportunities.

When asked: "Why were you chosen as one of the few students honored to participate in the working trip of the Vietnamese Youth Delegation to Sri Lanka in 2024?" Doan Mai Duong shared: "Personally, I think I am honored to be a member of the Delegation largely thanks to the open and effective cooperation and connection opportunities of the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities."
Studying at the Faculty of Tourism Studies of Hanoi University of Humanities has given me a wealth of knowledge and diverse skills. It can be said that studying in such a dynamic environment has partly shaped me into who I am today.
While studying at the Faculty of Tourism, right from the first year, I had the opportunity to do internships and practical training in different regions of the country to enrich my own experience. In addition, the Faculty regularly organizes workshops related to the major as well as volunteer activities accompanied by alumni working at domestic and foreign tourism enterprises and organizations. The teachers in the Faculty always support, accompany, and closely care about the activities as well as create an environment for students to express themselves. A series of outstanding activities are held every year such as: FTS Newgen Award, FTS Show, Volunteer Tourism Program, ... and many exchange programs with countries in the region are wonderful things that the Faculty's training program brings to students. Personally, I was honored to participate in the study exchange program at Rikkyo University - Japan twice in 2022 and 2023. From the practical experiences in the land of cherry blossoms, it has given me a broader view of the tourism industry.

In particular, the Faculty was the bridge for me to do an internship at the Sri Lankan embassy. And that was a valuable opportunity for me to be honored as one of the delegates of the Delegation visiting and working in Sri Lanka while still a student, the opportunity to accompany delegates from provinces and cities across the country, participating in international exchange activities.
Up to now, I have been extremely happy with my decision to become a student of Tourism at the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Here, I not only gain in-depth knowledge of tourism studies, but also have the opportunity to participate in many useful activities to improve many skills, as well as practice foreign language skills, learn about the cultures of other countries, and promote the image of Vietnamese students and people to international friends. I always put myself in the same mindset as the French writer Jules Verne once said: "Traveling allows us to enrich our lives with new experiences, enjoy and be educated, learn to respect other cultures, make friends, and above all, contribute to international cooperation and world peace."
