Scholarships from the "Green Dream" Fund awarded to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On the morning of April 25th, the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training (ISTC) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Newspaper of Journalists and Public Opinion and MB Military Bank, awarded scholarships from the "Green Dream" Fund to five students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have strived to overcome difficulties in life and achieved many academic accomplishments.
The Green Dream Fund is a charitable fund established by the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper, an organ of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association. This is also the second year that students of the Institute of Broadcasting and Communication Technology have received support and assistance from the Fund.
The program was attended by journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy, Acting Editor-in-Chief of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper, and Head of the Green Dream Fund; Mr. Chu Hai Cong, Chief of Office and General Director of MB Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank; representatives of sponsoring units; and teachers and students of the Institute of Broadcasting and Communication.
Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Associate Professor Bui Chi Trung, Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, said: “In current journalism training and research activities, initiatives like the Green Dream Fund's scholarship program are very meaningful and have a wide-ranging impact. This scholarship will create motivation, helping generations of students gain new energy in their studies and research; at the same time, it is an opportunity for training institutions to closely connect with the journalism community.”

Associate Professor Bui Chi Trung sincerely thanks the media agencies and sponsoring organizations for their interest and support.
 
Journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy shared that the Newspaper and Public Opinion and the Military Bank hope that through the scholarship fund, they will encourage and motivate underprivileged students to overcome difficulties and strive harder in their training, studies, and scientific research, while also contributing to supporting the university in training good human resources for the country in general and the journalism industry in particular.

According to journalist Le Tran Nguyen Huy, the Newspaper and Public Opinion hopes to expand support for the program to help more students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are still striving to excel in their studies.

Vu Thi Hai Anh, a student in the K68 Public Relations class, is one of five students with special circumstances who received a scholarship from the Green Dream Fund this year. Hai Anh was born blind due to the effects of Agent Orange from her father, and faced many difficulties in her studies.
“The learning resources and tools available to me to access knowledge are limited. Besides that, I face many difficulties in my studies and daily life. However, the support from my teachers, especially the assistance from the Green Dream Fund, will be one of the driving forces that motivates me to overcome adversity, continuously improve my skills and knowledge. And especially, this support also helps us get closer to our dream of becoming professional journalists and MCs, and spreading positivity to the community in the future,” Hai Anh shared emotionally.

This is the second time the "Green Dream" Fund of the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper has awarded scholarships to students of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training.

The "Green Dream" Fund scholarship not only provides material support to help students cover living expenses and invest in their studies, but also serves as a great source of motivation to help them nurture their dreams of becoming future journalists and contributing positively to society.

At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, students annually have the opportunity to receive various scholarships and financial aid from the government, as well as from numerous corporations, businesses, and domestic and international funding sources: Vingroup, SHB, Danko, KOVA, AEON, LG, Lotte, Dao Minh Quang Foundation, Samsung Scholarship, SJ Tech (Korea), Sumitomo, Yamaha, Mitsubishi (Japan), KAS Foundation (Germany), etc. In addition, many scholarships for exchange programs at universities in China, India, Korea, Japan, Thailand, etc., from the University's partners have been awarded to students and trainees.
