The launching ceremony of the Green Summer volunteer campaign, the Green Summer volunteer training, and the summary of the 2025 Exam Support volunteer activities were organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on the afternoon of July 9, 2025.
The ceremony marked the official launch of the 2025 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign – a new and meaningful journey where the Youth of the Humanities will continue to spread the spirit of dedication and bring youthful energy to the community.
Within the framework of the program, volunteer teams received skills training, information on activities, and necessary equipment to prepare for volunteer work in the field. The practical and heartfelt sharing from Youth Union and Association officials and experienced team leaders served not only as valuable guidance but also as a powerful source of inspiration, further fueling the enthusiasm of the volunteers.
Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, gave directives at the ceremony.
This year, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University have 6 Summer Green teams, with the participation of nearly 200 volunteers who will be present in 6 locations across the country to help and support local people and children in those areas.
Within the framework of activities in the area, volunteer teams will carry out activities to support people in their daily lives, organize summer activities for students, implement youth projects, and participate in activities commemorating the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs - showing gratitude to those who sacrificed for the country, etc.
In particular, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University will join the Lang Son Provincial Youth Union in the "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" campaign in 2025.
With the knowledge and skills acquired during the training session, the Youth Union and Student Association of USSH believe that this is not only a valuable guide but also a powerful source of inspiration, further fueling the enthusiasm of the volunteers.

This is also an opportunity to look back at the persistent efforts of the students in the recent "Supporting the Exam Season" campaign - where the volunteer's blue shirts accompanied, supported, and shared with thousands of candidates at several exam locations in Hanoi. The "Supporting the Exam Season" volunteer campaign was divided into 3 phases, with the participation of a total of 15 teams and nearly 600 volunteers who accompanied candidates in important exams: the entrance exam to the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities, the entrance exam to high schools in Hanoi, and the 2025 National High School Graduation Exam.
In recognition of these contributions, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University commended and awarded certificates of merit to the collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the campaign.
With thorough preparation and the enthusiastic spirit of the Youth of the Humanities, the 2025 Green Summer Volunteer Campaign will surely continue to achieve many successes, spreading profound humanitarian values to the community.

Over the past 28 years, the campaign “"Green Summer"The youth of the Faculty of Humanities have left their mark of volunteerism across the country, sharing with those in need, building hundreds of youth projects, and spreading the spirit of "mutual support." On this journey, each compassionate heart contributes to writing the beautiful story of love and social responsibility.
In 2025, the "Green Summer" campaign was implemented in Quang Minh commune, Van Ho district, Son La province (now Song Khua commune according to the new administrative unit), a mountainous commune with rugged terrain, harsh weather, and a life of hardship for its people. Children here grow up in difficult material conditions, lacking opportunities for education and recreation. Despite this, the people here always maintain their gentle, hardworking, and optimistic nature. It was the rustic beauty of the Northwest mountains and the genuine nature of the people that inspired us to bring the Green Summer journey to Quang Minh commune – as a way to continue fulfilling the simple dreams of this highland region.
However, the campaign is currently facing many difficulties regarding resources, especially funding and in-kind donations. Therefore, we sincerely hope to receive the support and assistance from generous benefactors, teachers, and students. Your contributions, whether monetary or in-kind (including clothing, books, necessities, school supplies, backpacks, etc.), will be a great source of motivation, helping us fulfill our mission of "helping those in need," bringing love closer to our compatriots in the highlands.
