A photo exhibition commemorating "50 years since the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Unification of the Country" and a seminar introducing two books: "Perspectives from History: Perfecting Vietnamese Values ​​in the New Era" and "April 30, 1975 - 50 Years Looking Back" was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi this morning, April 24, 2025.

The victory of April 30, 1975, was a great achievement and a historical miracle for the Vietnamese nation. It was the final battle in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign – the culmination of the Spring 1975 General Offensive and Uprising, putting an end to the war and ushering in a new era – an era of peace and national reunification. Associate Professor Pham Thanh Hung – former lecturer and former Vice President of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – shared his moving reflections on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

On April 23, 2025, the Department of Art Studies – Faculty of Literature, the Film Club, together with the Youth Union and the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), organized a seminar entitled “The Underground Film and the Reenactment of War Memories in Contemporary Cinema”; a practical way to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.
