This morning, April 11, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – had a working session with the international certification, inspection, and accreditation organization NQA for the second time regarding ISO 9001:2008 in room 506, building E.

Attending the exchange were representatives from NQA, including Mr. Tran Quang Huy - Head of the evaluation team, along with three evaluation experts: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Trieu, Mr. Nguyen Khac Kim, and Mr. Pham Minh Khoi.

Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector of the University, and representatives from all eight departments and one center within the Administrative Block.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the working session.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector of the University – shared: “The University is currently implementing ISO and management processes to the vast majority of important operational processes in the departments and centers within the administrative block. In the near future, the University will continue to review and implement these processes to the remaining ones.”

Regarding the expert team, to ensure the evaluation schedule is met, each expert will be assigned to work with a specific unit to ensure the content, methodology, and timeframe of the evaluation are adhered to. During today's session, the evaluation team will review processes, seeking evidence of compliance and suitability to market requirements. Through this process, they will gather feedback to help the school improve and refine its management processes.

The evaluation team consists of 4 members, from left to right: Mr. Tran Quang Huy - Team Leader, expert Nguyen Xuan Trieu, expert Nguyen Khac Kim, and expert Pham Minh Khoi.

The working session lasted throughout the day, with the evaluation team visiting each department to carry out the evaluation program. These departments included: the Training Department, the Political and Student Affairs Department, the Administration and General Affairs Department, the Planning and Finance Department, the Organization and Personnel Department, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department, the Management and Scientific Research Department, the Cooperation and Development Department, and the Training Quality Assurance Center.

On behalf of the evaluation team, Mr. Tran Quang Huy reported on the overall results after the expert team visited the departments. The evaluation team met, unanimously approved, and made the following general comments on the strengths that the school had achieved: All functional departments of the school seriously implemented the necessary processes according to their assigned functions and tasks under controlled conditions; Each department set specific goals, based on the school's overall quality objectives for the 2015-2020 period; The departments provided the evaluation team with complete evidence of monitoring, evaluation, and record-keeping of the results of the processes; This strength shows that the school's quality management system has had a significant impact on the quality of training and scientific research, which are the school's core tasks.

At the end of the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector of the university, along with representatives from various departments and centers, acknowledged and thanked the expert team for their contributions. Any shortcomings will be addressed promptly, and the university will promote and build upon the work already done well.
