1. Application requirements
(1) Not a citizen of the People's Republic of China, in good health;
(2) Educational and age requirements:
- Applicants for undergraduate scholarships must be no older than 25 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have an excellent academic record;
- Applicants for Master's scholarships must be no older than 35 years of age, hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and have an excellent academic record;
- Applicants for doctoral scholarships must be no older than 40 years of age, hold a Master's degree, and have an excellent academic record;
- Applicants for the general academic research scholarship must be no older than 45 years of age and possess a high school diploma or higher.
- Applicants for the advanced academic research scholarship program must be no older than 50 years of age and hold a master's degree or higher, or the rank of associate professor or higher;
(3) Language requirements:
- Applicants for undergraduate scholarships or general, advanced academic research programs in fields where Chinese is the language of instruction and learning are required to have a Chinese language proficiency equivalent to HSK 3 or higher;
- Applicants for postgraduate scholarships in majors where Chinese is the language of instruction and learning are required to have a Chinese language proficiency equivalent to HSK 4 or higher.
(4) Other requirements
Applicants must simultaneously meet the academic, language, and other relevant requirements of the university they choose to attend after receiving the scholarship.
2. Application documents:
(1) Application for Chinese Government Scholarship in Chinese or English.
(2) Copy of the applicant's passport's first page. The passport must be valid until at least March 1, 2023.
(3) Notarized diploma of the highest level of education. For candidates who are final-year students of the school, they may submit a certificate of student status from the school or a temporary graduation certificate.
(4) Score sheet.
(5) Proof of language proficiency: For applicants choosing Chinese as the language of instruction and study in China, they must provide an HSK certificate or equivalent proficiency certificate as required. Applicants choosing a language of instruction and study in China other than Chinese need to provide corresponding language proficiency certificates, such as IELTS or TOEFL, based on the language proficiency requirements of the school they choose to study at in China.
(6) Notification of admission.
(7) Study plan or research proposal in Chinese or English.
(8) Letter of recommendation.
(9) Candidates applying for majors in art, design, etc. must submit their own works (such as sculptures, paintings, etc.).
(10) Applicants under 18 years of age must submit valid documents of their legal guardian in China.
(11) For training programs with a study period longer than 06 months in China, applicants must submit a copy of the Health Examination Form for Foreigners, the original of which the applicant keeps (This form is issued according to the mẫu prescribed by the Quarantine Department of the Ministry of Health of China, the mandatory information must be filled in English). Applicants should download the “Health Examination Form for Foreigners” from the websitehttp://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchinaorwww.campuschina.org.
(12) Criminal record issued by a competent authority in Vietnam and still valid.
(13) Other documents: Certificates of merit, Certificates of commendation, Certificates of participation in social activities, research topics, research papers published in specialized journals…
Instructions on the application process through the Chinese Government Scholarship Information Management System and other information can be found in the attached file below.
Units are requested to inform staff, students, and postgraduate students, compile a list of nominated candidates, and send the application letters and documents to the Cooperation and Development Department: Room 404, Building E, before 5 PM on March 7, 2022.
