I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, CONDITIONS, AND ADMISSION QUOTAS
1.1. Eligibility and application requirements
Junior high school (THCS) graduates nationwide in 2022 must meet the following requirements:
- Students in lower secondary school must have a conduct and academic performance rating of "Good" or higher for the entire school year;
- Graduated from junior high school with a GPA of "Good" or higher.
(The school will check the academic transcript when the admitted student completes the enrollment procedures.)

II. ADMISSION TO SPECIALIZED CLASSES
2.1. Application documents for the exam
- Each candidate may register to take the entrance exam for one of three specialized classes (Literature, History, or Geography). The application dossier includes:
(1)For the exam registration form, candidates should download and print three copies of the form as per the template. HERE((Just print in black and white, no need to print in color);
(2)A photocopy of the birth certificate (no notarization required);
(3)Two 4x6 cm photos placed in an envelope, with your full name and date of birth clearly written on the back.not including photos affixed to other documents in the file..
- Note: Candidates must prepare their own application envelope, clearly stating their personal information and the documents included in the application on the outside of the envelope.
2.2. Admission Fees
Registration and examination fee: 400,000 VND/application (payable once with the application, non-refundable if the applicant withdraws from the exam).
2.3. Receiving application forms for the exam
Application period: From April 1st, 2022 to April 15th, 2022. Candidates can submit their applications using one of the following two methods:
a) Submit your application in person at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (during office hours on weekdays, excluding holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays).:
Applicants must submit their application forms directly to the Training Department, Room 609B, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
b) Submit the application by mail:
Candidates should submit their application and fees according to the following instructions:

2.4. View competition information
From May 5th, 2022:Candidates should check their exam information (exam number, exam room, exam location, and exam room regulations) on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The university will not send exam notification letters to candidates.
2.5. Receiving corrections and adjustments to exam application information.

2.6. Examination subjects and format
- Exam subjects:Candidates must take four written exams: Literature, Mathematics, English, and a specialized subject (Specialized Literature, Specialized History, Specialized Geography).
- Exam format:The exam is structured as essay-based for Literature and specialized subjects, and multiple-choice for Mathematics and English (Candidates should refer to the published structure of the 2022 entrance exam for 10th grade at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities).HERE.
- Exam duration:The Literature exam has a time limit of 90 minutes, the Mathematics exam has a time limit of 45 minutes, the English exam has a time limit of 45 minutes, and the specialized subject exam has a time limit of 150 minutes.
- Exam scoring scale:The exam score is calculated on a 10-point scale.

2.8. Admission Method
- Candidates included in the selection list must have taken all four exams and not violated any exam regulations. The score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the score for the specialized subject must be 6.0 or higher.
- Admission is based on the principle of selecting candidates with the highest total scores in descending order until all quotas for each specialized class are filled. The admission score is the sum of the scores of all exam subjects on a 10-point scale, with the specialized subject score multiplied by a factor of 2, and rounded to two decimal places.
- No bonus points will be awarded in the admissions process.
- For the 2022-2023 academic year, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities will not offer direct admission; relevant documents regarding students' outstanding achievements will be submitted upon admission.
2.9. Announcement of exam results
Before 5:00 PM, June 10, 2022:The results of the entrance exams, the admission results for specialized classes, and information on admission to high-quality classes will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
III. ADMISSION TO HIGH-QUALITY CLASSES
3.1. Eligibility and application requirements
Candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the high-quality class at the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities in 2022 if they meet the following conditions:
a) Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements in Section I and participated in the 2022 entrance examination for specialized classes at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities but were not admitted to the specialized program, and whose scores in each subject (including the specialized subject) are 4.0 or higher.
b) Candidates who registered for admission to the high-quality class at the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities in 2022 according to the guidelines of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
3.2. Selection Criteria
- The total admission score is the sum of the scores of three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and English. Candidates will be selected based on their total scores from highest to lowest until the quota is filled.
- The registration period for admission to the high-quality classes, the announcement of admission results, and related regulations will be announced on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities after the results of the specialized classes are announced.
