At the September school-wide briefing session, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - the Rector of the University - listened to reports on the work progress in July and August and assigned key tasks for September 2010.According to the Principal's conclusion, most units completed their work for July and August on schedule. Regarding some key tasks in September 2010, the units continued to implement the tasks of the 2010-2011 school year in a coordinated manner, completing the key tasks for September 2010 on schedule. The Principal particularly emphasized the following tasks:
Party work, organization, propaganda, and mass organizations.
- Opening ceremony for the new school year; organizing political activities at the beginning of the school year.
- The Party Committee meeting approved the Executive Committee's work program and developed a plan for implementing the Resolution of the 26th Party Congress.
- Organizing the staff and faculty conference for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Training, student affairs, quality assurance and inspection
- Second-round admissions; welcoming new students.
- Implementing the teaching plan for the first semester.
- Issuing and disseminating the Regulations on undergraduate training in the regular program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (amended and supplemented).
- Continuing the summary of 4 years of credit-based training.
- Complete the training program in Southeast Asian Studies.
Scientific research and international cooperation
- Implementing the plan for organizing the Student Scientific Conference for the academic year 2010-2011.
- Organizing the grading, announcing exam results, determining admission standards, and conducting appeals for postgraduate admissions in the second round of 2010.
- Develop a joint training program "2+2" in Journalism - Communication and Commerce with Shanghai University (China) and Chungwon University (Korea).
- Completed the “2+2” training program in Tourism & Hotel Management and Thai Studies with Bansomdeij Chaopraya Rajabat School (Thailand).
Administrative, managerial, and financial work
- Finalize accounts for renovation and repair projects of facilities during the summer.
- The issue of repairing the facilities at building B7bis, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, has been resolved.
- Preparing and handing over rooms for the Investment Project to equip the Center for Journalism and Communication Professional Services.
- Prepare the budget for the fourth quarter of 2010.
In addition, the Principal requested that the units immediately implement several tasks, specifically:
- Preparations are underway to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the school's media activities in mid-November 2010.
- The Personnel Department completed the staffing plan in September 2010.
- The Planning and Finance Department is working with the units on the 2010 disbursement plan.
- Heads of units assign staff to inspect the teaching and learning situation at the beginning of the school year.
