In August 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, signed a cooperation agreement with Saigon Commercial Bank (SHB) - Tay Hanoi Branch.
1. Selection criteria
- I am a full-time student;
- Students with an average academic score of 3.2 or higher in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, and an Excellent conduct score;
- Students who have not received any non-funded scholarships during the 2023-2024 academic year;
- Students must not have violated any disciplinary rules during the 2023-2024 academic year, up to the time of scholarship consideration;
- Students who are eligible for government-sponsored programs, and students with particularly difficult circumstances;
- Students actively participate in social activities and youth union/association activities that have a positive impact on the community.
2. Number of candidates to be considered:
The entire school has 17 scholarship slots. Each unit will select and nominate one student to receive the scholarship.
3. Scholarship value:
Each scholarship is worth VND 7,352,000 per student.
4. The scholarship application dossier includes:
- Student's individual achievement report in academics and training (according to template).
- Transcript of academic results for the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year.
- Student conduct report for the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year.
- Photocopies of documents proving eligibility for social welfare programs or exceptionally difficult circumstances.
- Photocopies of certificates of academic achievement, Youth Union/Student Association activities, and community support activities.
The University respectfully requests that the leadership of each Faculty/Institute/Department widely publicize the scholarship program to students, select one application each, and send a soft copy as a PDF file to the email address: bang@ussh.edu.vn. The deadline for submitting applications is 5:00 PM on May 14, 2024 (Tuesday). Any unit that fails to submit an application by the deadline will be considered by the Student Affairs and Student Support Department as not participating in the SHB scholarship selection for Semester 1, academic year 2023-2024.
