Training on Research Proposal Writing Skills in the Social Sciences and Humanities

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is organizing a training course on research proposal writing skills in the field of social sciences and humanities.

Within the framework of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Higher Education Development Support Program, the PHER Project is a five-year initiative from 2022 to 2026 aimed at enhancing the capacity of three key higher education institutions in Vietnam (Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; and Da Nang University) to develop more sustainably and autonomously in the areas of governance, training, research, and business connectivity, meeting the human resource needs for Vietnam's industrialization, modernization, and international integration. The project is funded by USAID through a non-refundable technical assistance grant and is implemented by Indiana University, USA.
From the Vietnamese side, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the lead institution implementing USAID's higher education development support activities aimed at enhancing research capacity in Anthropology and Cultural Studies at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The main objectives of the Project include: i) supporting researchers in developing research proposal writing skills; ii) supporting researchers in developing skills in writing manuscripts suitable for publication in prestigious international journals; iii) promoting gender equality within the research community; and iv) fostering international academic collaboration.
The planned program
Time:May 24th and 31st, 2024
Location:University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi
Object:Faculty and researchers from member units and affiliated units of Hanoi National University can register to participate (regardless of gender, disability status, ethnicity, etc.), with a maximum of 30 people.
Languages ​​used:Vietnamese and English
The project will provide funding to support members who can proactively allocate time to fully and actively participate in completing the professional capacity-building activities.
