Within the framework of the Higher Education Development Assistance Program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the PHER Project is a 5-year initiative from 2022 to 2026 to enhance the capacity of three key higher education institutions in Vietnam (Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and Danang University) to develop more sustainably and autonomously in the fields of administration, training, research, and connection with businesses, meeting the human resource needs for the industrialization, modernization, and international integration of Vietnam. The project is funded by USAID in the form of non-refundable technical assistance and assigned to Indiana University, USA to organize and implement.
From the Vietnamese side, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the lead agency implementing USAID’s higher education development support activities on enhancing research capacity in the field of Anthropology and Cultural Studies at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The main objectives of the Project include: i) supporting researchers to develop research proposal writing skills; ii) supporting researchers to develop manuscript writing skills that can be published in prestigious international journals; iii) promoting gender equality in the research community; and iv) promoting international academic cooperation.

Object:Lecturers and researchers from member units and affiliated units of Hanoi National University can register to participate (regardless of gender, disability, ethnicity, etc.), maximum 30 people
Language used:Vietnamese and English
The project will provide funding to support members so that they can proactively arrange time to fully participate and actively complete professional capacity improvement content.
