Starting from the 2009-2010 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized several summer courses for students. The courses ran from July 19th to August 27th, 2010, and the semester exams were held from August 30th to September 3rd, 2010.
Starting from the 2009-2010 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized several summer courses for students. The courses ran from July 19th to August 27th, 2010, and the semester exams were held from August 30th to September 3rd, 2010.All students who have passed the prerequisite courses are eligible to register for summer courses, and the university will arrange classes according to their preferences and standards. Unlike the two main semesters, students can only register for a maximum of 8 credits during the summer semester. According to the latest statistics from the Academic Affairs Department, nearly 650 students have registered for the summer semester, divided into 12 courses. The majority are general and fundamental courses related to their field of study. Specifically, these are as follows:Scientific and technical bibliography, Local history work in libraries, Public library systemEach class consists of 53 students;General SociologyIt includes 65 students;The theory of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam.It includes 91 students;Advanced Marxist-Leninist PhilosophyIt includes 61 students;General LogicIt includes 120 students;Vietnamese Literature 1945 – 1975andVietnamese Literature from 1975 to the PresentIt consists of 54 students;Applied AnthropologyandDevelopmental AnthropologyEach class consists of 47 students; the internship (Information and Library Science) has 53 students. Offering summer classes is one of the major advantages of the credit-based training method, aiming to help students improve their grades in certain subjects and provide opportunities for advanced learning for those with the ability. This also allows students to arrange their study time in a more diverse and reasonable way.
