Immediately after two-thirds of the exam time had elapsed, dozens of candidates at the exam center at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities submitted their History exam papers and left the examination room with rather heavy hearts.Unlike the Literature exam, many candidates, after submitting their History papers, immediately took out their textbooks to compare answers or discuss them with their classmates. Despite not doing well, some candidates still happily revealed that even the person sitting in front of them couldn't do anything. Compared to the Literature exam, the number of candidates taking the History exam decreased by 15. Also this afternoon, the examination centers reprimanded one candidate, warned one candidate, and suspended four candidates, bringing the total number of suspended candidates for the day to five. Tomorrow, candidates will take their final exam, Geography.
This afternoon, July 9th, 2010, candidates taking the second round of the entrance exam for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities continued with the History exam. While the candidates were inside the exam rooms, their parents outside were equally anxious. Ms. Tran Thi Oai from Lai Chau province shared: “Before bringing my child here to take the exam, I was very worried, afraid of not having a place to stay and travel, and not knowing anyone. But when we arrived, the teachers at the school enthusiastically guided us, and my child and I were arranged to stay in the school dormitory for the exam days, so I feel very relieved. This morning, after the exam, I heard my child say that they did well, and I'm very happy. I wonder how they did this afternoon.” Mr. Ta Van Hien (Thach That) said: “At first, when my child said they wanted to register for the Journalism and Communication Department of the school, I didn't completely agree because I was worried that my child, being shy, wouldn't be able to keep up with journalism. But now I really hope my child does well on the exam and gets into the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.” At 4:20 PM, some candidates began leaving the examination area. Many submitted their papers early. However, each student's feelings were different. Vu Duy Tien, the first to leave the exam room, said: “For me, today's history exam was a bit difficult for a student like me who studies the basic subjects. The questions were long and required reasoning, making it hard to concentrate and easy to make mistakes. I only managed to complete about 50% of the questions.”Vu Dao
