Results of the 15th meeting of the Council for awarding the titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher in 2020

In accordance with Government Decree No. 27/2015/ND-CP dated March 10, 2015, regulating the awarding of the titles "People's Teacher" and "Excellent Teacher," the Ministry of Education and Training's Official Letter No. 5651/BGDĐT-TĐKT dated December 16, 2019, and the Hanoi National University's Guidance No. 4300/ĐHQGHN-CT&CTHSSV dated December 30, 2019, on the implementation of the 15th awarding of the titles "People's Teacher" and "Excellent Teacher" in 2020, the Council for awarding the titles "People's Teacher" and "Excellent Teacher" of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (hereinafter referred to as the Council) met on February 14, 2020, to review dossiers, discuss, and conduct a secret ballot to select teachers who meet the criteria for awarding the titles "People's Teacher" and "Excellent Teacher." II. Based on the criteria and standards, the Council discussed and unanimously agreed not to include the applications of the following two teachers in the secret ballot:

  1. Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Dang Tri proposes consideration for the title of People's Teacher: He has not yet received the title of Emulation Soldier at the ministerial level and has not received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister (since being awarded the title of Excellent Teacher – 2008).
  2. Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kim Dinh proposed for the title of Meritorious Teacher: he has not yet achieved the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the grassroots level seven times; in 2019 (the year immediately preceding retirement), he did not achieve the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the grassroots level; he has not received the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the ministerial level; and he has not had any ministerial-level scientific research projects.

The Council for awarding the titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher for the 15th time in 2020 of the School requests that the heads of units inform the teachers who have submitted applications and all staff and employees about the results of the Council's meeting.

Any group or individual wishing to comment on the awarding of the titles of People's Teacher and Excellent Teacher is requested to submit their official comments in writing to the Council (via the Secretariat, Room 603, Building E).Before 4:00 PM on February 21, 2020.
