1. NWorkshop content
In the course of Vietnamese history, many events that occurred in the past have been recorded and preserved in many forms and at many different locations through a massive system of archival documents. Therefore, in order to create a useful forum for managers and scientists to discuss and evaluate the value of historical sources about Vietnam, and to create opportunities for academics from interested countries to clearly understand the ability to access archival sources to serve the research of Vietnamese history from many different perspectives, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, Vietnam has coordinated with Aix-Marseille University, France to organize an international scientific conference "Archival sources about Vietnam in the pre-modern period - Value and accessibility".
The workshop focused on discussing the following main contents:
- System of archival documents on Vietnamese politics in the modern period;
- System of archival documents on Vietnam's economy in the modern period;
- System of archival documents on Vietnamese culture in the modern period;
- Effective exploitation of archival sources for Vietnam studies research;
- Assess the possibility of cooperation between countries in sharing research information resources about Vietnam.
