Invitation to attend the International Scientific Conference “Archival Sources on Vietnam in the Modern and Contemporary Period – Value and Accessibility”

1. Nworkshop content

Throughout Vietnamese history, numerous past events have been recorded and preserved in various forms and locations through a vast archival system. Therefore, to create a valuable forum for administrators and scientists to discuss and evaluate the value of historical sources about Vietnam, and to provide an opportunity for academics from interested countries to understand the accessibility of these archival sources for the study of Vietnamese history from various perspectives, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam, in collaboration with Aix-Marseille University, France, organized the international scientific conference "Architectural Sources on Vietnam in the Modern and Contemporary Periods - Value and Accessibility".

The workshop focused on discussing the following main topics:

- The system of archival documents on Vietnamese politics in the modern and contemporary periods;

- The system of archival documents on the Vietnamese economy during the modern and contemporary periods;

- A system of archival documents on Vietnamese culture in the modern and contemporary periods;

- The effectiveness of utilizing archival resources for Vietnamese studies research;

- Assessing the potential for cooperation among archival institutions in sharing research resources on Vietnam.
