Topic:The Role of Creativity in Social Life(with interpretation)
About the speaker: Lord Puttnam is an award-winning film producer whose films include The Mission, The Killing Fields, Local Hero, Chariots of Fire, Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone and Memphis Belle. His films have won 10 Oscars, 25 BAFTAs and the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. He was CEO of Columbia Pictures from 1986 to 1988. He was also Vice President of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) from 1994 to 2004. From 1987 to 1996 he was President of the National Film and Television School. Since 1998, he has worked primarily in public policy for education, the environment and the ‘creative and media’ industries.
