Equipping students at Vietnam National University with foundational knowledge of art theory, creative thinking methods, and expanding their understanding of art and its role – the CUCA UNI art education project, a collaboration between CUCA Vietnam and the Faculty of Literature at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, provides a different approach to learning, researching, appreciating, and practicing art for students at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The project also aims to develop the individual potential of learners, helping them to be proactive in their learning and research so that they can equip themselves with knowledge, expand their ability to appreciate, enjoy, and create for their future work and life.
The CUCA UNI art education project is officially enrolling students for Phase I, with 3 courses:
1. Utilize artistic thinking to practice, develop, and apply creative ideas.
Art is widely known as the highest form of human creativity, yet artistic thinking seems (or is considered) alien and unfamiliar to most of us. Becoming an artist may require innate talent, but is creative thinking in art a skill that can be learned and developed?
The course "Using Artistic Thinking to Practice, Develop, and Apply Creative Ideas" will help you cultivate an approach to work and life problems from the perspective and mindset of an artist. This will enhance your creativity, expand your thinking horizons, and lead to the discovery of interesting and effective problem-solving methods.
Instructor: Visual artist Pham Dieu Huong
PROGRAM CONTENT
The course will require participants to collaborate on a project to solve a common goal (often considered a problem) within today's social context. Throughout the course, based on the project implementation and the problems encountered (in the project, work, and daily life), learners will become familiar with and experience the creative process and thinking of art from a practical perspective.
The course does not provide theories, processes, or tools for creativity; instead, learners will experience and formulate their own theories of creativity through practical project work.
